Cake Obsessed: A Sweet Take on Asparagus

The best way to eat asparagus? As a cake, of course!


It's so realistic that you did a double-take didn't you? It may look like a bunch of asparagus but, yup, that's definitely a cake created by the very talented Rosie at Sweetapolita.

She made it for her sister-in-law, a true asparagus aficionado.

The inside is layers of rich chocolate cake with Swiss meringue butter cream. And for the outside of the cake, Rosie rolled out 150 full-size green fondant asparagus spears and 400 green fondant asparagus tips. Now, real asparagus may be an acquired taste, but I think you would have to agree that anyone would find something to like about this veggie confection.
