You would think with the country being more health conscious, fast food restaurants would throw in the apron when it comes to over-sized foods. But nope, they are all still vying with the "bigger is better" concept in mind, the most recent being Taco Bell and their XXL Chalupa.
It's a whopping 650 calories and looks like you'd need four hands and a package of napkins to consume it.
Just looking at it makes my stomach queasy. But wait 'til you check out these other seven food monstrosities.
Burger King's Pizza Burger: The pizza-burger fusion consists of four Whopper patties, slices of pepperoni and mozzarella cheese, and marinara and Tuscan sauce on a sesame seed bun. It's currently only being sold at their Whopper Bar location in NYC's Times Square -- clearly the rest of the world is not yet ready for this one.
In-N-Out's 4x4 Burger: One of their secret menu items, this gigantic burger is four 100% beef patties with all of the trimmings. Might want to leave off the side of fries with this one.
Carl's Jr. Footlong Cheeseburger: For all of those burger lovers out there who were jealous of their hot dog-loving friends that enjoyed foot-long meals, have no fear. Carl's Jr. is currently testing out a foot-long cheeseburger at select locations to help make your fatty dreams come true.
Red Robin's Wise Guy Burger: No longer do you have to make the difficult decision between a burger and mozzarella sticks. You can have the best of both worlds -- a burger topped with mozzarella sticks. Eureka!
Hardee's 2/3 Monster Thickburger: Monster is right. Blech.
Domino's Bread Bowl Pastas: What's better than carbs inside more carbs, covered in carbs? Though how are we supposed to eat the bucket bowl of pasta -- like a pizza? Like pasta? I'm so confused!
Friendly's Grilled Cheeseburger Melt: Thank the heavens for this restaurant combining our favorite foods to keep us from having to make decisions. Grilled cheese or burger? Both, please! Actually, make that two grilled cheeses.
Have you ever bravely eaten one of these items in one sitting?
