What Can We Learn From a Giant Sausage Maze?

currywurstA lot, apparently.

It's the strangest healthy warning of all time: A giant maze in the shape of a smiling sausage smothered in ketchup and mustard and accompanied by a side of chips has been constructed in Germany to teach people about the health risks associated with consuming too much currywurst.

Germans' love for currywurst -- or curried sausage -- is thought to play a major role in Germany's soaring obesity rate (one of the highest in Europe). It may sound like a joke, but really, officials hope that this educational maze will educate people about the dangers of fast food and improve eating habits.

Here's how it works:

Visitors to the maze, which stretches for roughly 1.5 miles, are given questions about fast food and its preparation; if a visitor answers a question incorrectly, they are sent down a dead end -- ultimately learning about healthy eating lest they desire to stay lost in the confusing labyrinth forever!

Although it sounds like they'd also be working up quite an appetite!

So would a similar concept work here in the States? Possibly, but I doubt if currywurst would make much of an impression. Perhaps a maze of fried chicken, Whoppers, Double Downs, or nachos might be a bit more appropriate.

Who's hungry?

What's your reaction to a giant sausage maze?
