How to Marinate a Cat

marinated catMarinating a cat is a lot simpler than you might think: Just mix oil with crushed red peppers, chili pepper, salt ... and a whole lot of CRAZY.

On Sunday Buffalo police rescued a pet cat named Navarro from the trunk of his owner's car. Navarro, who was found in a cage marinating in the above mixture, was about to be "cooked" for dinner.

Why oh why would Navarro's owner want to eat him? Apparently, it was punishment for being a "mean" cat.

Police officers pulled over Gary L. Korkuc, 51, for (allegedly) passing a stop sign; when they heard cat crying noises, they searched the car and found Navarro in the trunk. Korku has been arrested on one count of cruelty to animals.

According to a memo from the staff of the local SPCA -- where Navarro was taken by the officers -- Korkuc wanted to get rid of the cat because it was "possessive, greedy, and wasteful." His neighbors confirmed that he had complained that the cat was making too much of a mess of his apartment and he couldn't take care of it anymore.

The memo also advises animal adoption agencies NOT to let this guy adopt a pet ever again.

How horrifying that people can be so cruel and abusive to animals. The silver lining, however, is that Navarro is doing fine after his traumatic experience, has been adopted by a new family, and is now named "Oliver."

What do you think of this horrifying story?
