Is your school-age kid on a permanent lunch box rotation of unimaginative peanut butter and jelly and cheese sandwiches? Do you get as bored making your children's lunches as they are eating them? Need a new infusion of lunch-making creativity?
We've brought in some help -- simple ideas that kids will love with easy recipes to follow. I asked Catherine McCord, the founder of Weelicious, to share some lunchbox ideas with us. She brings us seven fun, well-balanced lunch box menus (with photos and recipes!) that you and your kids will love.
Catherine McCord believes in helping parents like herself cook seasonal recipes that are kid-friendly, fast, simple, and nutritious. I love all these creative and healthy ideas that are perfect for the lunch box.

This looks amazing and I am so envious of the person who has kids who would actually eat this.
I love Weelicious!!! My DD is only 3 so she doesn't eat lunch at school but I always get inspiration looking around her site! For now though, she just gets it on a regular plate because I don't have an awesome bento box to put her lunch in...yet. lol
This post is FANTASTIC. I bookmarked it in my "School Lunches" folder, because I suck so bad at food/menus so I need all the help I can get, and this is nutritious, easy AND cute. Great job!
I want the lunchbox containers!
I think those lunches are a fantastic idea, but *I* wouldn't eat half the stuff in there, how can I expect my kids to! Besides, who has time/money to make these anyway?!
Please, can someone tell me how you keep the food cold and fresh, and not spoiling? My dd goes to preschool at 8:30 they don't eat lunch until 12....would those little freezer packs really keep dairy from going bad? Thank you!
I love, love, love this post!!! Thanks for the great ideas!
These are IDEAL lunch ideas. It would be nice, but i don't think my kids would eat a lot of that food.
