Heather Baird from Sprinkle Bakes is oh-so clever. Do you remember her Mustache Cucpakes for Father's Day? Well, the creative baking genius is at it again with these Matcha Cake Sushi Rolls, which look like a maki roll but are actually made completely of cake!
It's green tea-flavored sponge cake rolled around white chocolate buttercream frosting and topped with tiny orange nonpareils (to stand in for the fish roe). And, guess how she chose to "represent" the soy sauce? With a chocolate reflecting pool, of course.

I'm daydreaming about hosting a fun sushi party with my girlfriends and serving this elegant little cake for dessert. (Who am I kidding? I'll probably just order sushi from across the street instead, but I can dream, right?)
