kellogg breakfast cereal recallSmelly cereal is the reason for a recall of 28 million boxes of cereal by Kellogg Co. today:

Kellogg Co. is voluntarily recalling about 28 million boxes of Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops, and Honey Smacks cereals because a "waxy" smell and flavor coming from the package liners could make people sick, the company said Friday.

While a handful of people have reported nausea and vomiting, the company is saying the health risk is not significant. Still, stinky cereal is surely an indicator of something unhealthy happening in your Apple Jacks. The source of the smell has not yet been identified.

The cereal arrived in stores around the end of March.

If you have these cereals in your cabinet, especially if they reek, contact the Kellogg Consumer Response Center at 888-801-4163 for a refund.

Do you have any of these recalled cereals in your cabinet? Do they smell?
