HungryGirl Coming to Your TV Soon

Julie Ryan Evans

HungryGirlHungryGirl, the diet diva of the Internet, will soon have her own television show on the new Cooking Channel.

HungryGirl founder, Lisa Lillien, will host the half-hour episodes, which the site describes as "guilt-free fun and general HG madness!"

"Not only will Lisa be whipping up recipes and sharing tips 'n tricks in the kitchen, but she'll also be out and about helping humans navigate the supermarket aisles, testing foods at the lab, and showing up in unexpected places to help solve the world's fatty-food dilemmas. We could NOT be more excited and hope you share in our joy!"

We do! ... or at least I do. I've followed HungryGirl for years and religiously read her daily e-mails. While she relies on processed food and artificial sweeteners more than I'd like, I do get some good ideas and inspiration from her.

For example, I love this recipe for a lighter version of California Pizza Kitchen's BBQ Chicken Pizza or this healthier rendition of Outback Steakhouse's Awesome Blossom.

The show is expected to air toward the end of 2010, and I can't wait!

Are you a HungryGirl fan? Will you watch the show?
