If you make this recipe, promise, promise me that you will use good quality chocolate. It really makes a difference. I like Ghirardelli 60 Percent Cacao Baking Bar, but any good chocolate will do.

Chocolate Glaze

4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped

1/2 cup heave cream

2 teaspoons corn syrup

Melt chocolate -- either over a saucepan of simmering water or in the microwave. In another saucepan bring cream to a boil. Pour cream over melted chocolate and stir gently to combine. Stir in corn syrup. Pour over cake.
