Flickr photo by mccun934Yes, I'm still grilling everything I can get my hands on.
And that includes fruit.
Last week I was walking by the fruit stand and all I could smell was peaches ... that's quite a feat for NYC.
So, I bought some and dolled 'em up with sugary goodness.
Try it ...
Grilled Peaches With Maple Syrup and Cinnamon Crumble
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 5 peaches (cut in half and pitted)
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
In a bowl, combine sugar, almonds, cinnamon, and soft butter. Combine into a crumble.
Heat up your grill and place peaches flesh-side down on skinless side. Let cook 1 to 2 minutes and flip.
Top each peach with a little crumble in hole where pit was and drizzle with syrup.
Close grill lid and let cook and caramelize 3 to 4 minutes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or yogurt.
What's your favorite summertime fruit?
