I know you've been in this dessert catastrophe situation: You need a dessert immediately -- either for tonight or early tomorrow. And you have a minimum of both time and ingredients ...
Introducing: Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bars. They take no more than 30 minutes to make from start to finish and require few ingredients plus a refrigerator. Also, they taste exactly like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. What are you waiting for?
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bars
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 sticks margarine/butter, melted
- 12-ounce bag chocolate chips
Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, peanut butter, and margarine. Spread into ungreased baking sheet, using wooden spoon or hands to press down. Melt chocolate chips in microwave and spread evenly over top of peanut butter mixture. Cool in refrigerator 20 to 25 minutes until set but not hard. Cut into bars (if bars are too cold, they'll be too hard to cut). Once cut, store bars in refrigerator or freezer.
