I loved Cheryl Strayed's memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail so much, I bought two extra hardback copies so I could give them away. I loved it so much that when I heard Reese Witherspon had optioned the film rights, I instantly thought, Oh no. Not because I am anti-Reese-Witherspoon, exactly (although I have to say, I got a real bitchy too-cool-for-school vibe from her in those elevator videos that were going around), but film adaptations of amazing books -- especially amazing books with so much internal dialogue -- don't always pan out.

Well, the first trailer for Wild has just been released, and you guys ... it looks GREAT. I realize I'm making the following prediction based on two minutes of footage, but not only am I officially retracting my cynicism about this film in general, I think Witherspoon has a very strong chance of nailing an Oscar for this role.

It may be hard to think of a better-looking, more perfect couple than Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, right? Wrong! The stars of the highly anticipated mystery film Gone Girl, based on Gillian Flynn's novel, are certainly able to up the creep factor in the newest trailer just released for the movie. This one gives fans a glimpse into even more iconic scenes from the book than the first trailer, and needless to say -- this is probably a film a happy couple shouldn't be watching on Valentine's Day.

As you can see from the trailer, much of the mystery surrounding Amy Dunne's disappearance lies in what she writes of her marriage in her diary regarding her husband, Nick. Looks like Nick is pretty damn guilty, doesn't it? Book readers are fascinated with how the folks behind the film can possibly translate all the twists and turns on screen -- but since all reports indicate the film may be quite different than the book, it's easy to hope it may take on a life of its own.

The trend for villain origin stories continues with the most famous blood-sucking fiend in history, and no, I am most definitely not talking about Edward Damn Cullen. Dracula Untold will hit theaters on October 17, and the much-anticipated film has officially released its first trailer video.

This is Dracula like you've never seen him before -- apparently he was a good guy all along who just needed some supernatural powers so he could protect his people. I'm not sure every iconic malefactor needs a sympathetic backstory, but what this trailer lacks in an immediate hook (for me, anyway), it makes up for with a GIANT DEADLY HAND OF BATS.

As a freelance writer who frequently covers entertainment topics, I wouldn't exactly say that my job is dangerous. It's true that sitting in front of a computer for hours each day will eventually destroy my body, but it's not like I'm parachuting into raging wildfires. However, I've decided that there are in fact times when the task of writing about Hollywood's latest offerings deserves hazard pay, and today is one of those occasions. Dear readers, I have watched the Dumb and Dumber To trailer.

In a mere 2 minutes and 40 seconds, I experienced increased intracranial pressure. My neurons ceased to function normally and saliva poured unbidden from my slackened mouth. Thankfully the natural plasticity of the human brain means my prognosis is hopeful, but I'm certain permanent damage occurred.

I have included the video here, but I must issue a stern warning: do NOT watch the Dumb and Dumber To trailer if you are operating a vehicle or caring for small children.

Game of Thrones season 4 is already halfway over. Does that just blow your mind or what? With only five episodes left, it's an understatement to say that a lot needs to be addressed. In "The Laws of Gods and Men," episode 6 of what has been a fantastic season, viewers can't help but wonder if there will be a huge fallout from that crazy Lysa Arryn reveal, what's in store for Jon Snow after his badass moment last week, what the Hound and Arya will end up fighting about next, how Daenerys will be able to make peace in Slaver's Bay, how Tommen the new king will deal with the advances of Margaery (and maybe Ser Pounce?), what Cersei's next move is, and of course, how the trial will go for Tyrion.

Ramsay Snow also looks as crazy as ever in the episode's trailer.

Of course, there are SPOILERS ahead if you haven't seen any season 4 episodes yet. You have been warned!

Is it safe to say that Edward Cullen is but a distant memory? Robert Pattinson is really showing off his nitty gritty acting chops in the latest trailer for Rover. It's hard to believe it's RPattz speaking in the video. Previous trailers have shown just how dirty and un-vampire-like he gets (sorry, that connection may simply never die), and this latest one is sure to get Rob fans even more pumped up for his latest project.

In case you weren't aware, The Rover takes place in the Australian outback at some point in the future. When a gang of criminals steals the very last possession Eric (Guy Pearce) owns, he tracks them down, along with Rey (Rob), who was part of the gang, but is left behind when he is injured. The film has been selected as an Official Selection at Cannes and will premiere at the film festival. It will premiere in NYC and LA on June 13, then go nationwide on June 20.

But of course all you want to hear is Rob's new accent! What was I thinking. Let's get to it.

Holy. Crap. It's not possible. This Sunday marks the midway point of season 4 of Game of Thrones. Episode 5? Already?! After a game-changing death, a controversial rape scene, some major changes from the book, and a huge reveal about the White Walkers last week, this season has been both addicting and a tad vexing. Hopefully this week's episode, "First of His Name," doesn't disappoint.

From Daenerys Targaryen taking on Meereen to Jon Snow forming a group to attack Craster's mutineers to Bran Stark being held captive by said mutineers to Sansa in pervy Petyr's clutches to Arya and the Hound hanging on to their unlikely alliance to Brienne going on a quest for Jaime, there's a lot going on. Needless to say, POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD. Come on, you knew this already!

Devoted fans of the show are certainly going to miss it, but I think the rest of us can agree that True Blood has run its course. With new, amazing shows like Game of Thrones and True Detective to focus on, HBO has made what was probably a very difficult decision by making season 7 the very last for True Blood. Fans who have tuned in since season 1 (raises hand) are hoping that the show will go out with a bang.

Now that a new season 7 trailer has been released, it seems like all hell has broken loose and everyone's losing their damn minds. Quite a fitting end, and it's easy to suspect that we'll lose a few fan favorites on the way. No matter what happens or how it ends, Truebies will tune in until the very last episode. The premiere should air some time in June, meaning we've got all summer to get our very last fill of Sookie, Eric, and Bill!

Some spoilers ahead if you have yet to see season 6!

In what might just be the cruelest reality television prank (forget Punk'd and Joe Millionaire), Fox has officially released the trailer for their newest reality dating show: I Wanna Marry Harry.

Harry, of course, is none other than Prince Harry. Well, at least that's what the unsuspecting ladies are led to believe. In reality, he's a paid British actor named Matthew Hicks, whose sole job is to pretend to be royal and schmooze a dozen ladies. Not a bad job, huh?

The show is produced by the same man who did Joe Millionaire, so we're definitely sensing a bit of a theme here. But this time, they've really stepped their hoax game up. Check it out:

Whatever you've got penciled on your dance card for the first week of June, scratch that out and write in these five little words: ORANGE. IS. THE. NEW. BLACK. The first season 2 trailer has hit the web, and it is awesome.

OITNB premieres Friday, June 6, and as with other original Netflix shows, all 13 episodes will be available on that date. Based on the trailer, this will definitely be a binge-worthy season, so I recommend you start planning your snacks and most comfortable couch-lolling positions. In the meantime, check out what we have to look forward to!

    (Season 1 spoilers ahead.)
