While we count down the days until the Walking Dead season 5 premiere — just two weeks away! — let us turn our attention to the upcoming spinoff show for a moment. I know, you totally forgot there was going to be a spinoff show, didn’t you? I did too, I’ve been so focused on what our current survivors are going to get up to when the premiere airs, it slipped my mind there’s going to be a whole new cast of characters to obsess over.

TV Line has revealed who we can expect to see when the new show lurches to life, although no official casting announcements have been made yet. If you like to speculate over character descriptions, check out this latest scoop, which frankly has me more than a little worried that the Walking Dead offshoot is going to be annoying as HELL.

Who doesn't love a good sexual assault joke? Um, no one. No one should love jokes about a person being raped or otherwise sexually violated. Or physically assaulted at all. Just. Not. Funny. Ever.

Shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy have been pushing the envelope for decades when it comes to propriety, so some inappropriateness should be expected for an upcoming crossover episode this Sunday, but the writers have taken things way too far by making baby Stewie tell a rape joke.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse than Cougar Town (love the show, hate the title), networks are busting out some seriously awful monikers for their new series.

From the mind-boggling to the meh and the just plain offensive, let’s take a look at the worst of the worst in TV titles past and present.

And, that’s right, we’re looking at you Black-ish.

The diabolical folks at AMC are determined to keep teasing us with the very briefest of glimpses at the upcoming Breaking Bad prequel, Better Call Saul. I can't wait to see a full-length trailer, but since that's not in the cards yet, I'll have to make do with this brand-new clip of Bob Odenkirk in action.

The good news is that it doesn't take much Saul to convince me that I'm going to enjoy seeing this character's return to the small screen. The new 10-second teaser, called “Amen,” shows a younger Saul in a Judge Judy-style courtroom, and he does more with a single throat clear than most actors can do with an entire monologue.

After all the crazed speculation over who will star in the hugely-anticipated second season of True Detective, it looks like Colin Farrell has let the cat out of the bag. I really would have expected the series creator and HBO to make the announcement, but in an interview with Ireland’s Sunday World over the weekend, Farrell confirmed he's nabbed what must have been one of Hollywood's hottest casting opportunities.

It's hard to imagine anyone filling Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson's shoes after they pretty much set our televisions on fire in season one, but I'm excited about seeing what Farrell can do. After a so-so early career, I think roles like his character in In Bruges show he can pull off the gritty, deeply weird True Detective vibe.

Well, we've come to the end of the road -- in more ways than one, but I'll get to that later. Today on The Real Deal, we've got the finale of Bravo's Extreme Guide to Parenting, with what's legitimately extreme, what's not, and all sorts of behind the scenes elements I noticed. Also, a Twitter question and a very big announcement from yours truly!

If there's anything better than a grownup version of Truth or Dare that involves drinking, it's Neil Patrick Harris playing it. The Gone Girl actor appeared on The Meredith Vieira Show on Thursday, September 18, and agreed to play a round of "Drink or Dish" with the host.

The game involves a series of personal questions, in which the askee has to take a drink if they refuse to answer it. While we didn't really learn any of Neil's secrets, we did have a good laugh at the question he was unwilling to answer.

Gaming the system on reality TV is tricky. Sometimes it works and you win big. Other times ... not so much. On the reunion special of Married at First Sight, it was fascinating to hear what went on behind the scenes, and I think we all have a bit more of a clue as to what happened between Monet Bell and Vaughn Copeland. We also got to catch up with Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion as well as Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner. In today's exclusive video, I break it down, as well as an interesting reality TV comparison.

OK, there's church and there's CHURCH. I found myself scratching my head while watching this week's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Now, I have no problem with filming weddings, christenings, maybe even funerals -- although RHONY Sonja Morgan's doggie funeral didn't involve high mass. But Ash Wednesday? Even this heathen wondered about that. But there's much, much more to discuss about season 6, episode 9 in today's exclusive video below.
