Although Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were most recently spied in the U.K., I'll bet they've made their way down to the South of France by now, because the Cannes Film Festival begins today! I know, when you think Cannes, you don't necessarily think Twilight. Nothing against the uber-successful vampire franchise, but it's just not the arty kind of film we tend to associate with the annual event. Nonetheless, the principle players -- RPattz, KStew, and TLaut, oh my! -- are all moving on and making flicks that are sure to take the famous film fest by storm.

We have the first still photos from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2! Get ready to gaze upon Kristen Stewart (along with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner natch) in her full vampire glory, with waves of amber tresses that almost match her (GASP!) red vampire eyes. Seriously, the photo gives me goosebumps! 

Oh, I guess you want to take a look, right? Well, here you go ...

No one can accuse Taylor Lautner of not trying to break out of the Jacob/shirtless werewolf mold, not considering the strikingly broad spectrum of post-Twilight roles he's been attached to: First there was action/thriller Abduction, then he signed on to star in an upcoming Gus Van Sant project (which, being a Gus Van Sant project, is definitely going to be an indie/art house kind of something), now he's apparently been cast in Adam Sandler's ensemble comedy sequel Grown Ups 2. (Oh yeah, there was the Stretch Armstrong thing, too, but that didn't pan out.)

Anyway, I admire him for being all eager and whatnot, but if he really wants to make us forget about Twilight, Taylor Lautner needs a breakout role of epic proportions. Epic, I say! That's how it's done in Hollywood, after all.

Stars do it all the time.

Sometimes they even end up with an Oscar nod in the process.

Guess who got slimed?Last night was the 25th anniversary of the Kids' Choice Awards, and the green slime, a hallmark of the awards, flowed.

Halle Berry was the first to be slimed, but she was most definitely not the last. Justin Bieber, Taylor Lautner, Glee's Chris Colfer, and Katy Perry were all doused in the stuff. And they were all great sports about it. Even First Lady Michelle Obama, who was there to present the Big Help award to Taylor Swift, couldn't avoid some of the slippery goop.

Now that The Hunger Games has hit theaters and there's what feels like a bazillion years until the next installment of Breaking Dawn comes out, many of us supernatural fans are hungering for something to hold us over. Well lucky for us all, The Host, a big-screen take on the OTHER best seller from Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, is on the horizon. Well ... sort of. It may not be out until NEXT March 2013, but today's big news is The Host trailer is here, and in short -- it looks creepily spectacular.

Throughout 2012, Twilight fans will greatly anticipate Breaking Dawn: Part 2, due out in November. Like many last installments in a beloved series, the flick's poised to be one of the most successful of ALL TIME. But maybe Twi-Hards don't have to sweat bullets about it being their last chance to revel in Bella and Edward's world ...

Last week, Lionsgate co-chair Rob Friedman revealed that if Meyer wants to write another Twilight installment, the studio—which recently bought Summit—will "be there to support her." Uh, duh?! That would only translate to more mega-bucks galore for the studio!! But it doesn't seem like Meyer is on board as Lionsgate or the fans may wish she was. At least not when it comes to vampire romances.

Listen up, Twi-Hards! Huge Breaking Dawn, Part 2 news! And I don't care what your plans are for Friday, February 10th, they're getting cancelled. Ix-nay your an-plays, got it? You've got somewhere to be at midnight, and that place is Target.
