Despite very convincing, multiple-source rumors of a breakup, the latest buzz on Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth is that they're "working it out." In an ironic twist of circumstance that mirrors another on-again, off-again celeb couple, Liam's back in the U.S. after spending most of the month in Australia, a source tells E! News. Apparently, "there are some serious problems going on, but seeing them together, they do genuinely love each other and they really do want to work it out." Awww! 

And yep, that allegedly means the wedding is still on! Liam was even spotted at Miley's house over the weekend, and E! reports that they're tackling their issues -- like the "serious tension" caused by Miley not being the homebody that Liam is. Hey, if that's true, good for them!

I was at a birthday party last night, for adults, mind you, and all anyone could do was pass around the phone to watch Miley Cyrus twerk. Not sure what twerking is? Me smells a diversion tactic here ... Wasn't it just the other day that she had some lame excuse about why she wasn't wearing her engagement ring anymore?

Like apparently, according to Radar Online's sources, Miley is hatching a diabolical plan to exact "humiliating revenge" on Liam. Oh geeeeeze. Plz say this isn't so.

So says the story's insider: Miley and Liam will most likely get back together, sources are noting. But before they're able to do that, Miley's allegedly "giving him hell and trying to publicly humiliate him." Uh, sounds like a brilliant scheme!

Page Six is reporting that multiple sources confirmed the split after Liam jetted off to Australia because "he needed to get away from Los Angeles and spend some time with his brother and friends.” Meanwhile, another source said, "Miley and Liam are done; it’s over. She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him.”

Not that surprising. Liam has always seemed the more grounded and mature one of the pair (if slightly himbo-ish). Anyway, this whole breaking up routine isn't exactly new territory for the couple ...

When I see someone like Miley Cyrus, I don't really see a talented, young superstar. I see a young woman who could be my daughter and I freak out. Technically, she could be, but my daughter is just 3. Still, I worry about those years the most -- those late-teens, just into the 20s. Miley's parents -- Tish and Billy Ray -- had to not only deal with everything all parents go through when parenting a young woman (how do people deal!?!), but their daughter is in the public eye and has tons of money. People want to be her, people want to use her, and she's gorgeous if not a little precocious. Dangerous combination.

Plus the rebellious haircut, the tattoos, the fiance -- all at the tender age of 20. Someone hold me.
