lady gagaYou'd think that with legions of fans, countless handlers, and endless paparazzi, one wouldn't have a chance to feel alone, but Lady Gaga admits that she's "embraced" her loneliness. The mega-star opened on Lifetime's The Conversation and said that she's at a point in her life where she can "cherish" her loneliness. Sounds like whatever she's going through, Gaga's got a grip on the situation.

There are rumors that she and that Vampire Diaries guy are on the rocks, so it's great that the mama Monster is able to harness the power because if you don't, and you just wallow, that's not good for anybody.

Lady Gaga's Controversial Tweet Reveals Secret Body Issues

lady gagaLady Gaga has never held back from expressing her strong stance on a multitude of tough topics -- from bullying to homophobia to eating disorders. While she admitted she suffered bulimia in the past, she's always been a cheerleader for healthier behaviors. Until, well, last night. She's under massive fire today for a tweet she sent that read, "Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger #PopSingersDontEat #IWasBornThisWay." Uh-oh ...

The National Eating Disorder Association was among those caught off guard, responding, "Huh? This is the same person who recently implored girls to stop dieting?" Sadly, yes. While Gaga's public persona has always been a major proponent of healthy body image, I'm not surprised that personally, she's got troubling body issues.

The pop star set a record on Saturday when she became the first person to reach 20 million followers on the social networking site. Dude. That's a lot of followers. Will there ever be anything that she doesn't totally and completely dominate at? I think someone needs to challenge her to a fencing match or something.

Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way Foundation' Can Help You Deal With Your Teen (VIDEO)

Lady gagaDisagreements between teenagers and their parents on matters of music have been going on so long, they're more or less an American tradition. Good thing Lady Gaga doesn't stand on tradition. Because the singer's new Born This Way Foundation is meant to bring parents and teenagers together to fight one of the most damaging scourges of our times: bullying.

And if you don't think Born This Way has anything to do with how you are parenting your kid, prepare to be wrong. This is about kids like Gaga -- who was bullied back in the days when she was just plain old Stefani Germanotta -- but it's also about the kids who bully. This is the way they're roping in every kid in America, the kids in school who walk that fine line in the middle. They're not bullies, they're not bullied, but they need to be part of this fight too.

So how can one singer (and her mom) make this all happen?

Harvard Owes Expelled Gays Their Degrees

gay pride flagIt's crazy and sad, and crazy sad, to think that we once lived in a world where students were expelled from college for being gay. But it's the truth. In 1920, seven students were kicked out of Harvard University for just that. However, it's encouraging and good, and encouragingly good, that now, 92 years later, there are people who want to right this egregious wrong and hook these people up with their deserving degrees.

A group of students and faculty and Lady Gaga want the school to award these seven students with posthumous degrees. They also want Harvard to get rid of its "secret court," which is the group of administrators who investigated potential homosexual students in 1920.

Now, where the hell does Lady Gaga come in?

Lady Gaga's Family + New Restaurant = Bad Romance

Posted by Lindsay Mannering
on Feb 2, 2012 at 4:20 PM

lady gagaLady Gaga's fallen victim to one of stardom's biggest misconceptions: If you're rich and famous, you're qualified to open a restaurant. It's simply not true, just ask Britney Spears, J. Lo, Steven Spielberg, Jermaine Dupri, and Dolly Parton. Each of them has tried to open an eatery and has failed. I guess Gaga's family didn't do their research, because they just opened Joanne, an Italian spot on New York City's Upper West Side. And word on the street is that it's not good. Not good at all.

The New York Post's famed restaurant critic went to check out the place on opening night, which, as Styleite points out, is a bit cruel since reviewers usually give new spots at least a few weeks to get things running smoothly, and what he had to say about the place wasn't pretty in the least. His headline for his review? You'll Gag on the Food at Gaga's. Oof. He goes on:

ps22 singing edge of glory with ithaca college acapellaWe may have Glee, American Idol, The Voice, and X Factor to thank for more and more kids getting interested in joining up with their school's chorus, show choir, or a cappella groups. But it couldn't hurt to also thank Lady Gaga, whose catalogue of radio-ready pop hits seem shiny and new when covered by songbird kiddos. Surely, you've seen Maria Aragon, the adorable Canadian whose cover of "Born This Way" caught the Mother Monster's eye. Now there's a whole chorus of kids making news for their amazing cover of "Edge of Glory."

The Staten Island school PS22's chorus paired up with Ithaca College's male a cappella group, Ithacapella, to do the cover, and it's something not to be missed! It will make your day.

Madonna's Lady Gaga Bashing Just Makes Her Look Desperate

madonna on 20/20 Madonna tells 20/20 what she really think of Lady GagaBefore Justin Timberlake or Usher, there was Michael Jackson. Before Justin Bieber, there was David Cassidy ... (and Usher and Justin Timberlake, come to think of it). But before Lady Gaga came Madonna ... drr. And apparently Madonna herself doesn't realize we're already WELL aware of this. In an "honest, up close" interview with 20/20's Cynthia McFadden that airs tonight, Madge is finally speaking out on the Mother Monster -- specifically on how she feels about the reminiscent sound of "Born This Way" and being one of Ms. Germanotta's inspirations. And although she's supposedly a fan of her younger incarnation's work, the early released quotes from the interview make her come off as quite the opposite.
