One of my personal favorite Philip Seymour Hoffman roles was also one of his last -- that of head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee in The Hunger Games trilogy. He played it perfectly, and I was very much looking forward to him reprising the role for the last two movies, so I was somewhat selfishly disconcerted about how the production company was going to handle the situation.

I needn’t have worried. It turns out that Hoffman had virtually completed his filming for Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, and only had seven days left of filming for Part 2.

Natalie Dormer is best known as playing Margaery Tyrell in HBO's Game of Thrones. On the show (and I'm sure in real life), she's beautiful, intelligent, kind, is known to rock some amazing low-cut dresses, and even has the evil King Joffrey wrapped around her little finger. So you can only imagine fans' (and other people's) shock when tuning in to the SAG Awards last Sunday. Half of Natalie's gorgeous, flowing locks were gone!

Those who had no idea what her upcoming role is certainly were perplexed. Apparently she had to shave her head to play Cressida for the next Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay. Hopefully it'll help folks who admire Natalie breathe a sigh of relief that she didn't go all Britney Spears on us.

BIG news, Hunger Games fans! Lionsgate has officially announced that actor Robert Knepper has been cast in Parts 1 and 2 The Hunger Games: Mockingjay as Antonius! I know, right? So exciting, since all this time everyone's been on pins and needles to hear who will play Antonius!

Antonius being the guy with the ... um, the guy in the story who ... huh. *licks finger, pages rapidly through trilogy* Hang on a second, there never WAS an Antonius in Mockingjay, or any of Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games novels for that matter.

So who the hell is this guy?

Because apparently we must politicize all the things, the the Hunger Games franchise has sparked a political debate between the right and left over what’s really going on in Panem.

It seems as though both liberals and conservatives want to claim the story as their own, each side arguing that their side is clearly represented. The lefties say that it’s a “call for the downtrodden to rise up against the rich,” while the right says it’s an “Orwellian take on the dangers of big government.”

So we can't all agree on everything, but we can all agree on one thing: Jennifer Lawrence is a badass. Right? Particularly compared to the average "starlet" type. This next question, however, is bound to get a variety of emphatically dissimilar answers: Is Jennifer Lawrence TOO MUCH of a badass to wear the "America's Sweetheart" crown? Julia Roberts, whose reign as our nation's Dream Girl Next Door went pretty much uncontested for years, seems to think so. This is what the 46-year-old actress had to say when she was asked, recently, for her opinion on whether or not Lawrence is qualified to take over the title:

Did you see Hunger Games: Catching Fire yet? Did you did you did you? I managed to get to an early showing yesterday and even though the IMAX pricing was a whopping $14.50 (during matinee hours!) I really enjoyed it. Definitely worth the entire babysitter-plus-tickets-and-peanut-M&Ms cost, although I really need to remember to sneak in my own water because FIVE DOLLARS FOR A DASANI COME ON.

Anyway, if you've seen it and thus have no concerns about spoilers, let's talk about the many high points of Catching Fire … along with a few of the less-awesome aspects.

Eventually Jennifer Lawrence is going to do or say something that's a little controversial or unpopular. Mark my words, as soon as that happens there will be a flurry of articles from people saying that they knew it all along, her Most Likable Celebrity reputation was all a manufactured pile of hooey, and they saw through it from day ONE. Then, the trend towards fawning over Jennifer Lawrence will take a sharp right turn, and people will claim hipster cred over the fact that they were never a fan.

For now, though, Lawrence continues to make headlines for being ridiculously awesome in every way. I mean, she even went on Letterman and confessed that she'd been crapping her pants recently, and the public ate it up! (Uh. Wow, sorry. Poor choice of words.) Her latest trick involves a so-called "red carpet meltdown" -- but before you worry that she went full Lohan during her recent Catching Fire premiere, check out what really happened.

If there was ever any doubt that Jennifer Lawrence is absolutely perfect for the role of Katniss Everdeen, her recent real-life antics should put those doubts to rest. Why? Cause the girl is badass, that's why! Lawrence was apparently so sick with a mysterious (very unpleasant-sounding) stomach ailment right before the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire that she was hospitalized, briefly -- but she still managed to glam it up like a pro on the red carpet. By the time she made it to the Late Show With David Letterman, however, she was about ready to throw in the towel -- or the blanket, as it were.

Happy Hunger Games! Though, according to Saturday Night Live, that may not mean what you think it means. To promote his new movie, set to premiere this Friday, Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark in Hunger Games: Catching Fire, is set to host SNL this week. Of course, promos were filmed to hype up the show, and of course, you're going to want to check them out.

You won't be disappointed when you see SNL star Bobby Moynihan punches Hutcherson in the face (more than once), what Bobby means when he says, "And now let the Hunger Games begin," and how they both react when they realize that they're on fire. Josh and Bobby, the boys on fire -- could they possibly team up and take on Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss? Probably not, but it's still fun as hell to watch Hutcherson go through an SNL initiation. Could he ever be as ready to host as Justin Timberlake?
