Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence debuted a new hairstyle over the weekend at the GLAAD awards. The actress followed in the footsteps of many of her Hollywood colleagues and chopped a good amount of hair off, leaving her with a bouncy, shaggy bob. She also lightened her tresses to a golden honey color, and shocker -- it looks fantastic.

Every year, Time magazine makes a list of the 100 most influential people who have changed, for better or for worse, our world over the last 12 months. One of the honorees this go round is actress Jennifer Lawrence, or as you and your kids might know her, the Girl on Fire, Katniss Everdeen.

If we compare Jennifer Lawrence to her contemporaries, as I'm sure Time did, it's clear why this exceptional young woman was selected for the list, and why, say, Kristen Stewart was not.

At the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, Liam Hemsworth was on hand to present the first trailer for Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Ever since The Hunger Games was released last March, fans of the dystopian series have been waiting for a glimpse of its darker, more sinister sequel starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark.

It's almost here Hunger Games fans! I don't think I am alone when I say that the first installment of the trilogy was amazing. Yes, there were some elements that were changed from the original book, but this was one of the best adaptations I've ever seen. So needless to say, I have been waiting on the edge of my seat for Catching Fire to hit theaters. Unfortunately that won't actually happen until November 2013 -- but that doesn't mean we won't get a glimpse of the action soon. In fact, the trailer will debut during the MTV Movie Awards on April 14, but The Stir has a sneak peak of it here!

First there was the Twilight book-to-movie trilogy. Then the Hunger Games franchise (which we've only just begun as far as the films go). Now, waiting in the wings to fill that Young Adult bestselling adaption series slot? Divergent, the first of three novels by Veronica Roth which are "set in a dystopian future" -- and will apparently star Kate Winslet! Yippee!

I must confess, I haven't read the Divergent trilogy yet, but Kate Winslet in any movie is always cause for celebration, right? And she's been cast in a role that sounds deliciously, perfectly cold-blooded and calculating.

Ever since the new Hunger Games: Catching Fire character posters debuted, you can't deny one thing: Jennifer Lawrence, aka Katniss Everdeen, looks hot. Even though fans are split as to whether or not they like the actual design of the wedding dress, Jennifer can still pull it off and be smokin'.

Love it or hate it, new details have come out about the dress, and I'm sure you've all been waiting impatiently, glued to the monstrosity of a time-suck that is the Internet, to know more. You know that one of your favorite things to do is pick apart wedding dresses from a fantasy series detail by detail!

The first thing everyone, and I mean everyone, wanted to know was: Was this dress designed by Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton?

Is the best defense NO defense? January Jones seems to think so. When the 35-year-old Mad Men bombshell was bombarded by paparazzi at LAX with questions about her supposed fling with Hunger Games hunk Liam Hemsworth, her chosen response was to not respond at all. I can't say I blame her -- do these people really think she's gonna stop, drop her carry-on bag and give a blow-by-blow (sorry) of exactly what went down (sorry) in the back of that car the night of the Oscars?! Naturally, some people are taking her lack of denial as confirmation of the affair with the 23-year-old fiancé of Miley Cyrus. But what if the rumors ARE true?

Okay, who hasn't jumped on the Jennifer Lawrence fan train? Girl is sexy, talented, hilarious, sweet, tough, she got to kiss Bradley Cooper, she just won an Oscar ... and now she'll get to look forward to the crap ton of money that will pour in when The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released on November 22.

That's kind of a long way away, but still, doesn't mean fans can't get excited about the teasers, posters, and trailers that will come out to hype up the film. And it seems marketers of the movie are taking advantage of all the JLaw love by dressing the character she plays, Katniss Everdeen, up in a couture wedding gown and making her look like a glamorous, yet still totally badass, bridezilla in the newly released Hunger Games: Catching Fire portrait series.
