This week, I witnessed a couple’s first kiss ever on their wedding day. I almost felt voyeuristic curled up on my couch watching Erin Bates and Chad Paine go at it on 19 Kids & Counting. The pressure! There were cameras and 1,000 guests at their wedding. They could have knocked noses. Did they discuss the whole tongue or no tongue issue beforehand? Oh, Erin, I would probably annoy you over coffee.

The whole Duggar family plus Jessa’s G-rated love interest, Ben Seewald, and his mom traveled to Tennessee for the nuptials. Jessa is slacking now that she’s in a courtship. Her responsibilities are falling on Jinger who took it in stride packing for all of the younger kids. OMG. I thought packing for my son was tough!

Jim Bob used the 12-hour bus ride to ask Ben 21 questions, including, “What kind of girl have you been praying for your whole life?” Ben mentioned love of the Lord before looks. This guy is cool under pressure. I think Jim Bob is impressed.

It's official! After a very short 84-day engagement, Jill Duggar will be a June bride when she and her fiance Derick Dillard tie the knot on June 21 of this year. The couple made us all squee a little when they announced their engagement last week, even if most of us were shaking our heads at their strange mating rituals.

Well, strange by today's standards, at least. The two have decided to not only wait to do the deed until they're married, but they're saving their first kiss for the altar too! Does that quick engagement make sense now? Wink, wink.

After announcing their engagement this week, the second oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Jill, and her fiance Derick Dillard faced various pressing questions from the media. But chief among them? How many kids they want to have, of course!

So, is there a chance the young couple is already aiming for the double digits like Jill's parents?

Who's ready for another Duggar wedding?

Jill Duggar, the second oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, announced her engagement to Derick Dillard this morning. The duo have been courting (with some major parental supervision) on this season of TLC's 19 Kids & Counting and were originally introduced by Jill's dad.

The couple began dating while Derick was in Nepal for a mission trip and chatted via video conferencing before finally meeting in person. Derick, 25, popped the question last month during a casual afternoon stroll, where the couple was serenaded by a group of musicians.

We were treated to back-to-back episodes of 19 Kids & Counting this week. Jim Bob and Michelle dealt with the double whammy of two daughters with googly eyes for their guys.

First, Jim Bob and Michelle went on a double date with Jessa and Ben to chat about their budding courtship. The Duggars are professional teenage hormone killers. Over mini golf, they skillfully get Ben to say he’s not even going to hold hands with Jessa. He thinks “side hugs” are good enough for now. I never even heard of a “side hug” until I entered Duggarland. I would undoubtedly be on their naughty list.

It’s courtin’ time! The first Duggar daughter, Jessa, is officially off the market, boys. On the season 8 premiere of 19 Kids & Counting, her suitor, Ben Seewald, sealed the deal ... first with her parents, and then with Jessa. That’s just how the Duggars roll.

I must confess I never dated (or married) any boy who would ever meet the Duggars’ expectations. OMG. No kissing. No hand-holding. Courtship is “dating with a purpose”; only spiritual and emotional exploration is allowed. After Jessa said “yes” to Ben’s courtship proposal, she hugged her mom. Only then did Jim Bob give Ben and Jessa permission to “side hug.” (No full-court boob press, Ben.) Then they all joined in prayer and the courtship was announced to the rest of family. Cue the applause.

Big changes are on the horizon for Jessa Duggar. The third eldest daughter of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar is about to have her courtship with Ben Seewald opened up to the masses with tonight's premiere of the eighth season of 19 Kids & Counting on TLC. So what does Jessa think of all of this? Is the reality star really on board with sharing her private life with the masses ... or is that her parents' doing?

The Stir asked Jessa how she feels about courting with an audience, and whether her parents pressure her to put up a front. Is she really on board with being a reality star?

Whoever thinks motherhood is not sexy has not met Michelle Duggar. Yes, that's right, I'm talking about the matriarch of the Arkansas family most famous for having a ton of kids and letting TLC film them all. The Duggars are about to head back to TV next week with the premiere of the eighth season of 19 Kids & Counting on April 1, and while she might prefer conservative clothes and quote the Bible on the regular, when it comes to embracing her sexuality, Michelle Duggar is a thoroughly modern woman.

The mother of 19 sat down with The Stir to talk about how she finds time (and privacy!) for babymaking, and the secret to still being attracted to your husband after all these years. Some of it may surprise you!

I've got a confession to make. When I found out I'd be sitting down with Michelle Duggar to talk about the new season of 19 Kids & Counting premiering April 1 on TLC, I was a tad bit more nervous than I usually am when it comes to celebrity interviews. What if she found out I have -- gasp -- just one child? Would the conversation end right then and there?

As it turns out, Michelle Duggar may have 19 kids, but she's a lot more like the moms I meet on the playground than you'd expect. Not only did she tell The Stir she doesn't know everything about parenting (got that sanctimommies? Even Michelle Duggar doesn't know it all!), but sometimes the mother of 19 who appears to do it all flawlessly on TV gets flustered!

Have you heard about the Duggar girls' new book, Growing Up Duggar, in which Jill, Jinger, Jessa, and Janna discuss everything from dating to growing up in such a large family to their relationship with God and everything in between?

It promises to be quite the interesting read -- especially since they definitely aren't living the lives of typical teenagers. They don't kiss boys. They don't watch TV. And they don't frantically check and update their Facebook status 100 times a day because social media really doesn't fit into their daily life.

And while some will probably argue that they're missing out on so many life experiences because of the sheltered life they lead -- they actually seem a whole lot happier than a lot of teens today.
