Hmm -- well isn't this an interesting little celebrity hookup rumor. The word on the street is that Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy is dating Kate Upton -- yes, that Kate Upton. As in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who people love to hate on but can't seem to get enough of.

According to Us Weekly, they were set up through friends, though "it's very new" and "they just started dating."

And if Maks and Kate really are getting a bit chummy, it sounds like they aren't exactly trying to hide it.

The premiere of Dancing With the Stars season 17 is still a ways off, but so far it sounds like the format of the show is going to be much different than what we're used to. Instead of airing over two nights, it's now going down to only one evening per week. Then there are those pesky rumors about the judges being replaced -- or possibly a fourth judge being added to freshen things up a bit.

And based on a few comments made by DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd, it sounds as though producers are hoping the changes will open up the ballroom to a whole new genre of viewers.

Dancing With the Stars is a show that is famous both for its enormous surprise talent and for its horrendous flops. From Billy Ray Cyrus' embarrassing gyrations to Michael Bolton's wooden nerves, there have been a lot of not so hot dancers on the show.

Now, they should NOT be embarrassed. This is what the show is about, after all. Not everyone is born to dance and that is totally, 100 percent a-ok. Still, for us viewers at home, there are some cringe-filled moments.

When I first heard that Bachelor Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are living together (finally), I kind of muttered under my breath, "Ha! I knew it. I knew they'd never be able to last until marriage without getting it on."

I know it's still quite a ways off -- but is anyone else as excited as I am about Dancing With the Stars season 17? For some reason, my gut tells me they're going to shake things up a bit this time around, especially when it comes to casting the show. And I don't wanna get my hopes up, but it's starting to sound like there's a valid chance of Khloe Kardashian making her DWTS debut, which would be nothing short of awesome.

A rumor about her possibly being part of the show popped up a couple weeks ago, and now that ballroom pro Cheryl Burke is pushing for Khloe to join the party -- it looks like we're one step closer to it actually happening.

Dancing With the Stars is perhaps best known for pairing extremely good looking men with extremely good looking women and then seeing what will happen. Often, the result is chemistry up a storm and hot, hot, hot moments.
