Pretty much the ONLY person on the Internet who didn't weigh in this week on M.I.A. throwing the bird during her performance with Madonna at the Super Bowl half-time show was Madonna herself. But that all changed Friday morning when the Material Girl herself candidly told Ryan Seacrest what she thought of the flip-off.

Guess what. Madonna wasn't happy. Here's what she said about it:

If you were deeply saddened by the news that Paula Abdul was let go from X Factor, a new interview with Simon Cowell might perk you up. In a rare moment of candid humility, Cowell actually admitted to Extra that he blames himself for having to let her go because he set unreasonable expectations for the show (remember him bragging about 20 million viewers?) and then had no choice but to fire her. I would've liked to have kept [Paula]. She was very gracious, and I said that to her. She understands it's business; it's never personal.

Cynthia Nixon's comments last week that she's "gay by choice" caused a hell of a firestorm. It's not all that shocking that the actress was accused of being insensitive when she said in a New York Times interview, "For me, [homosexuality] is a choice. I understand that for many people it’s not, but for me it’s a choice, and you don’t get to define my gayness for me."

Ack! It was definitely one of those taboo quotes that would haunt the actress unless she did some damage control, so unsurprisingly, Nixon, who is currently appearing on Broadway in the play, Wit, has released a statement to The Advocate meant to clarify her previous remarks.

Poor, poor Demi Moore. The details surrounding her breakdown just keep on comin' out and getting more and more graphic and horrific. The 911 call that was placed from Demi's home on Monday has been released, and it's downright bewildering, cringe-worthy, and, well, really frightening. Basically, it sounds like what we thought was just a little overdose or slight "seizure" seems like it could have actually been a full-blown brush with death. Ugh!

Newsflash: Miley Cyrus is now 19 years old. She's no longer starring on Disney TV shows or singing at Disney World as Hannah Montana. So it really should come as no surprise that the entertainer was photographed in a provocative pose with a huge penis cake presented to her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, for his birthday last weekend.

Yes, you read that right. Former Disney star + phallic dessert = SHOCKER! Oh, yeah, and she also was said to be "drinking alcohol and partying all night." Hellooooo, Captain Obvious.

Tragic news is being reported about Demi Moore. According to TMZ, the actress was rushed to the hospital late last night for an incident related to substance abuse.

"A source" told the site that she is currently seeking further "professional assistance" for substance abuse issues. Her rep confirmed that she is seeking treatment and issued a statement that read:

Some celebs treat Twitter like their personal playground for verbal diarrhea. Others think spewing mindless tweets will catapult them from obscurity to the A-list. But there are those who really have something of note to say from time to time, and Disney actress-turned-pop star Demi Lovato is that kind of celeb. Well, I should say, was that kind of celeb, because apparently, as of today, she's quitting Twitter -- at least for a little bit.

On Saturday, Lovato tweeted, "Twitter break. It's for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble. Anyway...BYE!" The only real clue we have to why she made the decision to take her fingers off the "tweet" button is the tweet she sent prior that said, "Can't please everyone." Huh. Good for her, and she tweeted like the outspoken celeb she has always tended to be. But that's all the more reason why her tweets will be missed!
