Robert Pattinson has finally admitted that Kristen Stewart is his girlfriend.

Shocking.

Rob told U.K.'s The Sun, ""It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it's impossible. We are here together and it's a public event but it's not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention."

Ah, I wonder how many hopeful hearts sank upon reading that this morning.

Rumors have been flying that the Twilight co-stars were an item for about a year now, but the two have always dodged questions pertaining to it.

Why is it that famous people do that? I mean, it's not a big secret, we all know. Just own up to it so we can stop analyzing your body language in paparazzi shots. Oh wait, it's just me that does that...? Sigh. I need a hobby.
