The Pregnancy Pact Lifetime Movie: Did You Watch?

The Stir Bloggers

I was channel surfing the other day and came across The Pregnancy Pact movie on the Lifetime channel.

Inspired by a true story from Gloucester High School in Massachusetts, the movie explores teen pregnancy with a story of a "pregnancy pact" supposedly made between some of the female students.

Issues such as contraception availability in public schools, abortion, and school daycares come up throughout the movie.

Lots of moms around CM have been talking about's what some of them had to say:

Momto3andaAngel: I watched it, and from a a teen mom stand point, I was 15 when I had my first. My Dh and I have done everything with our 4 kids with no help from anyone. With that being said, I was really upset when I watched the movie simply for the fact that these little girls wanted to get pregnant and they were only 15. Those are good dreams if you are at that point in your life. After watching the movie I really wanted to just go out and become a voice for the girls that are thinking this way. I agree that kids need to be a lot more educated. I would not go back and trade my kids or give up my kids for the world now but I do wish I had waited until I had a college education!

kltaylor07: These girls are living in a dream land. I can't imagine being that young and trying to get pregnant. Craziness.

MagenMae: I cried at the fact that there are actually young grils out there that want to get pregnant! If they knew the path they were about to embark on, I can't imagine they would want this for themselves at such a young age. They have no idea how hard it is to be a mother and how your life will change forever.

I wasn't able to watch the entire movie, but it comes on again tonight at 9pm ET on Lifetime, so I'm going to try to catch it then.

Did you watch The Pregnancy Pact? If so, what did you think about it? Do you think it tackled the teen pregnancy issue accurately?
