The Apple iPhone has a new competitor: the Google Nexus One, which is now out on the market.

Lots of hype has been going on about this phone, but what exactly are all the bells and whistles that come with it?

  • Price: $529 (unlocked); $179 with two-year contract with T-Mobile (but don't worry, Verizon and Vodafone folks can get it later this year).
  • A second microphone samples the ambient noise around you and cancels it out, which means clearer calls for you.
  • Google features, such as Google Maps, Google Voice, and Google Earth, come standard.
  • Multicolored notification LED trackball
  • Live wallpapers
  • Runs Android 2.1 (a step-up from last year's Verizon Droid) on a 1GHz processor
  • Shoots MPEG4 video on its 5MP camera that boasts an LED flash

Okay, okay...even I, an iPhone addict, have to admit that it sounds cool.

Is anyone planning on getting this phone? What do you think of all the excitement over it?
