A follow-up on MTV's 16 & Pregnant, the new series, Teen Mom, follows new moms Farrah, Maci, Amber, and Catelynn as they face the challenges of their first year of motherhood.
The show will focus on the challenges that young moms face: relationships, family, and balancing school and motherhood.
Here's what some of our members are saying about the show:
3girls4mommy: Am I the only who thinks that this show and the other one (16 & Pregnant) is wrong? Why in the world would MTV want to glamourize teen pregnancy? I'm sure that they would argue that they are trying to show teens how hard it is to have a baby, but all they are doing is making it look "cool."
MommaMelly17: I really like this show! It tells the truth, it is not easy. I can definately relate to this show because I had my son when I was 16. It is not easy at all, and I don't really think MTV is trying to glamorize it.
finallymomof3: I was able to watch it and I really think it is so worth watching, even for mothers who have preteens or teenagers at home, to show them what really goes on in their lives. It's not always a pretty picture and all of the teen mothers and fatheres are suffering adult decisions.
Did you watch the show? What did you think about it? Do you think MTV is glamourizing teen pregnancy or creating more awareness about it?
