After seeing Twilight, I came out of the movie theater very disappointed. That was not the case with New Moon. The film was incredibly loyal to the books, and I found myself knowing many of the lines because they were straight from the book's text.
Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart's chemistry was amazing. I am a self-proclaimed Team Edward, but after seeing Jacob's character come to life, my heart did a little swaying. And I also had difficulty paying attention thanks to Taylor's perfect body (I kept having to remind myself not to be a perv...the kid is, what, 17?).
Yes, Taylor, you're sorta beautiful.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen's interaction was mediocre...a tad above Twilight but that may have had something to do with the absence of Edward throughout the majority of the story. Is it just me or do the characters just seem so much more passionate in the books?
The CGI wolves kept the action intense and when it came time for the Volturi to make their debut, Michael Sheen put on a fantastic performance as Aro...exactly how I pictured the royal vampire while reading the books.
In my opinion, I thought the film was fantastic. It definitely held up to the hype.
Have you seen New Moon yet? If so, tell me what you thought of it!

lol my boss and i keep saying that every time we open a magazine with taylor in it:
"He's 17" just to remind ourselves not to get too drooly lol. (it shouldn't be legal for a 17 year old to look that damn hot.)
i'm so team jacob, and i cannot WAIT to see it!!!
Seeing it tonight. I"M still Team Edward though.
We were supposed to go last night to the double feature but my DS got the croup. We may go today to see it though!
It was good and mostly true to the books. I can't help but think of all they left out though. (and the couple things they added) For example; Bella never sat on Jacob's couch once during the movie. Umm, I can recall at least 2 or 3 Xs in the book that I thought were semi significant. Also, "Will you marry me?" Really!? I could be mistaken but I don't remember that in the book. I don't like that they make 'em more for teenie boppers when the books have so much more subsistence than that. Don't get me wrong though it was really good. What they did get right was perfectly done and dead on!! It's cool to see it on the big screen. It just bugs me when they don't add things that they def, could have. Like "Reckless and stupid" The fact that they cut out the word stupid is just well... stupid. lol I guess I just get more from the books than the movies.
I loved the movie. I think the special effects were awesome. At times, I will admit I thought it dragged a little. Can't wait for Eclipse!!!!
It was AWESOME!!! Of course it is my favorite book too because I love Jacob. I am so excited for Eclipse
I thought it sucked, but at least tried harder than the first. They've never shown, in either movie, the depth of Bella and Edward's love, and they keep jumping into things with NO lead up, and if you hadn't read the books, I think you'd be totally lost. Like why Bella's birthday was such a big deal, and she was unhappy about it, or how badly she wanted to be a vampire, how close she and Jake REALLY got, etc. They tried to get in so much action (which the books only had a limited amount of anyway) and totally left out actual relationship-building.
