We watched as the relationship of Jon & Kate Gosselin unraveled on our TV screens.
After their divorce announcement this summer, we all wondered what would happen to Jon & Kate Plus 8.
Though the show has continued, Jon's role has gotten smaller. Today, TLC announced that, in November, the series will relaunch and evolve to Kate Plus Eight.
"Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family. The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate’s journey really resonates with our viewers. Additionally the network is in development on a Kate project for 2010,” states Eileen O’Neill, President of TLC.
Jon will continue to appear on the show, but on a much less regular basis.
redrockswhtsox, an admin of the group Jon & Kate Plus 8 Fans says, "I am disappointed. I had hoped that both Jon and Kate would pursue careers on their own and end the show for the sake of the children. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out."
What do you think of this change? Will you still watch the show? How do you think Jon feels about it?

We had to downgrade our TV package. As a result we no longer get TLC and I couldn't be happier :-p I have enough drama in my own life, I don't need to watch it on TV too.
I will still watch I love seeing those kids
I think it's great that TLC is going to go with the flow.
Let's face it... families are not always 'perfect'.
More power to Kate --- I think it's awesome!
I have only watched the show a few times, but I have always thought that Jon was a turd.
That's IMHO anyways!
Maybe Kate can do a new type of show in the future for TLC as well!
"My husband was a lying cheating jerk..."
I bet alot of women could relate to her then.
*Smirks*
Can you imagine the ratings then? hehehehe...
I won't be watching. I am boycotting TLC and its sponsors.
I will watch it w/o Jon...never liked him much myself. Now he wants to stall the divorce for 90 days to try and work things out. Seems odd to me that he would file it on the same day that TLC announces that they are going to be cutting him out of the picture, more or less.I had wished that they could work it out but after the way that he was acting I am not sure that any marriage could work after that! Good bye Jon...in so many ways he has only himself to blame!
Hmmmm.....interesting topic. I am anti-Kate. I cant stand her and I havent for a long time. I dont watch the show regularly so I doubt the new change will help matters any for myself. The only thing that interests me at all are the cutie pies...now if they could cut Kate out of the picture I may watch. I dont have alot to say about Jon. He doesnt irratate me as much as Kate but I think he may be going through an early mid-life crisis but who can blame him when he has been living with such a b**** for so long.
I probley will not watch it anymore because I can't stand Kate and she is always look for attention.
I think Kate is a shallow and is a money crazy woman. I stopped watching the show way before! When she started to always get on Jon for stupid things I thought the show was a waste of my time!! I will never watch her new show!
Being a mother of six, I know how hard it is to raise a large family. It takes alot of structure and love. I think Kate has had to step up and do this on her own. If she were a man acting like this people wouldn't think twice about her being head of the home. moms, try running a household with multiples in it then tell us your gripes. I'm sick of people calling her names. My triplets are a handful without the other three so I can't imagine everything she does moment to moment. Jon is worthless. He always seemed like the playtime dad and not an enforcer. He let her be the bad parent all the time.
I will still watch it. I really like thier show.
