In case you've been hanging out with (or smooching) Marilyn Manson, you may start looking to see if you have swine flu symptoms. The shock rock and oh so glam musician has come down with H1N1.
He was engaged to Evan Rachel Wood, who most recently has been seen on True Blood as the Queen, Sophie-Anne Leclerq. I didn't know they broke up, so that's news to me. But this...swine flu stuff....
As reported in US Weekly, Manson poked fun at himself and wrote on his Facebook page: "So I have officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU. I know everyone will suggest that f****** a pig is how this disease was obtained. However, the doctor said, my past choices in women have, in 'no way' contributed to me acquiring this mysterious sickness. Unfortunately, I am going to survive."
Oh such the jokester.
In even more disturbing news, the night before he was diagnosed with H1N1, Manson was on stage blowing snot rockets into the crowd.
Gross.
Swine flu is certainly spreading. Does this make you more afraid of the illness (or just more afraid of Marilyn Manson)?

Honestly...
More afraid of Marilyn Manson.
(If that's even a possibility considering?!)
lol
ROFL! I love Marilyn Manson but the headline of this article just about made me pee my pants. I just did NOT expect to read that!
I thought he was pretty much out of the news, I wish he would come back! He is actually a really smart dude.
I think his music is awful but he doesn't scare me one bit!
yes aurorabunny he is a VERYsmart man... ppl always think i'm insane when i say that lol...
according to his myspace he is over it already.... and snot rockets?? gross! i've been to only one of his concerts back in high school, it was awesome! thankfully there were no snot rockets... at least none that i remember but we were not close enough to the stage to get hit with one lol.
i would love to see one of his shows again one day...
I used to love his music, I've kind of grown out of it (guess I'm getting old) but I still think he is awesome. Hearing him talk about politics or religion or any of that, he is really an insightful guy.
sadly i think i've out grown it too! i did buy his newest album, it is not the greatest... its pretty bad lol.
Glad to hear he's a healthy enough guy to get over it quickly! I still love him, even after all these years. He's an amazing (yes, and smart!) man! One of my good friends went to high school with him back in Fort Lauderdale and my best friend dated his drummer back when Mechanical Animals first came out, so I was lucky enough to hang out with him anytime he was in Florida. Now I'm reminiscing and wishing he would come back here again!!
I have met Manson and no, I would never be afraid of him.
Swine Flu is another story. I am more afraid of my son catching it though, so is going to get the vaccination as soon as he can.
