Okay ladies, I'm about to get real old-school. Last night, I came across an old Nintendo Entertainment System (aka NES) hidden away in the back of my boyfriend's closet. This, of course, caused me think he was just that much more awesome, and I immediately hooked it up to the TV.
I spent the next couple of hours...actually, I'm not going to tell you how long I spent playing, it's embarrassing.
Over the last few days, I've played games like Super Mario Brothers (1, 2, & 3), California Raisins, and Mickey's Mousecapades, and honestly, as sad as it may sound, I haven't had that much fun in a long time!
Even though I flung my arms around as I moved the controller (as if that's going to help the character move) and yelled at the TV when Mario dies, I still think I did good, decent...okay, so I'm a little rusty. Practice makes perfect though, right?
Do you remember playing NES? What was your favorite game?

Oh yes, lol, i grew up on video games. My dad bought the nes when it came out and i had bead super mario brothers the first time when i was 4. Now you can get all the nes games free from the internet and play them on the computer. Just look up nes roms and nes emulators. As long as you have an original copy of the game working or not its legal.
I wish I still had mine. Super Mario was my favorite and Duck Hunt.
i had super mario brothers *beat* not bead lol sorry about that.
lol. loved me some super mario 3. There were a couple of other off-the-wall games I remember that sucked my sister and I in for hours. I can't even remember the names now. I think we've got one in the garage somewhere. Maybe I'll decide to do battle with the spiders and drag it out.
Hell yes I do! I still have and play mine. Mostly Maniac Mansion, the best game ever. :)
I remember our NES. My brother got it when he was like 9. We never had the first Mario Brothers so I still suck at it but I rocked at Mario Brothers 3 and Zelda. I still have my Super Nintendo in the basement with Zelda and a Mario game and Sim City.
My best memory, though, was going to my friend's house and we stayed up until 2am trying to pass Mario 3. We almost did it, too, but her mom demanded we go to bed. We were so close.
I loved the Duck Hunt game...I rocked at that! I think there's a Tetris game for the NES too? If there is, I loved that one too.
DUCK HUNT! I miss it. My parents sold it back in the late 90s. My SIL still has her SNES though.
um yes! i loved my NES!!
