Katherine Heigl annoys me. I'm not a fan of Grey's Anatomy, but that's not why. I loved her in the movie Knocked Up. Thought the film was funny and cute (love Judd Apatow), but what does Heigl go and do to the flick that propelled her name into a romantic comedy headliner? She bashed it. She said the movie was sexist.
She has a right to her opinion, yes. But come on! Don't bite the hands that feed you!
Well, she's back in another rom-com that, dare I say, may even exploit sexism. Was this planned? And the movie looks like a must-see as much as I hate to say it. It's called The Ugly Truth and it also stars Gerard Butler who may just be one of the sexiest actors out there right now. Butler was also in RocknRolla, P.S. I Love You, and 300, and he's Scottish/Irish. Purrr!
Yes the movie caught my eye because of, well, the eye candy, but it looks legitimately funny. Butler plays a male chauvinist who has theories on finding love. Heigl, his coworker, tests out these theories on men, but Butler ends up falling for her. Guess his theories work!
The Ugly Truth is in theaters July 24th.
Have you seen the previews? Must-see or skip it?
