I LOVE singing karaoke. I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but there's just something so fun about just letting loose like that. Before now, karaoke was limited to bar performances, needing expensive karaoke equipment, or on a gaming system that judges you (for me, seeing how bad you really are just takes the fun out of it!). Well, now there is a karaoke website where you can belt out those vocals without feeling embarrassed, judged, or shelling out a lot of money.
The website is called The Karaoke Channel, and you have the options of doing a 24-hour (perfect for kids' birthday parties, $14.95) or monthly subscription ($9.95, with a two-month minimum).
To get started, you either have to have your own microphone set that plugs into the computer, or you can order The Karaoke Channel Kit which includes two microphones and a USB vocal mixer ($39.95).
Choose from over 4,500 songs (and new ones added weekly), and then tap into your inner rockstar. And if you're not too stage shy, you can even record yourself and share with other site users.
And for those of you who like to try before you buy, they even offer a free trial with an unlimited trial period! The only downfall is that there are banner ads and less songs to choose from, but it'll give you a good sample of the real thing.
Do you like karaoke? What are your favorite songs to sing? Would you subscribe to this site?
