I recently learned that Chace Crawford (of Gossip Girl fame) will be starring in the remake of Footloose which is scheduled to hit theaters in June 2010.
I love the original movie and can't see anyone but Kevin Bacon in that role. When it comes to originals vs. remakes, I tend to enjoy the originals more.
The ladies in the CafeMom Hollywood group are in the same boat as me:
Mandafers says, " I liked the original Yours, Mine, and Ours better than the remake. Usually I like the original better."
soccerchik8287 says "The originals I liked better were The Parent Trap, Miracle on 34th Street, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."
Which remakes have you seen that you liked the original better? Which movies did you like better when made the second time around?
