EB: At what age did you know you could sing? When did you know you wanted to be a singer?
LW: Since I can remember, I've loved to sing. I've always wanted to be a singer, since I was a little girl.
EB: Would you want your daughters to go into the business? What do you tell them?
LW: If they love music and have a passion for singing, then I will tell them to go for it. But this business is too hard to do unless you absolutely love music.
EB: How do you balance being a mom and your career?
LW: I have the same daily problems all moms do! It's hard to juggle it all and I feel like I'm pulled in a lot of different directions some ways. I just try to keep it really simple and try to spend as much time as I can with my kids. I've recently partnered with Banquet® Select Recipes, to help them get the word out about meals that are healthy for families.
EB: Where do you come up with your ideas for songs?
LW: (Laughs) From my life! My life, like most moms, is so crazy sometimes! I get my inspiration from my everyday life experiences!
EB: How do you stay so beautiful?
LW: That's nice of you! I started working out when I turned forty, with a trainer. Having the trainer has helped me to keep fit when I'm not on the road! I found a really easy make-up kit, Maui Wowie, that helps me put on make-up in a hurry.
