Jon during the family's move in Season 4.
TLC has the Jon and Kate Season 5 trailer on it's website, so it looks like the couple have agreed to continue with the reality series after all, though Jon really does not look happy.
Can you blame him, with all the tabloid rumors of affairs and the marital tension that must surround it? Who knows what the truth really is.
"Jon looks like a different person," notes redrockswhtsox, owner of the Jon and Kate Plus 8 Fans group. "It seems like business as usual for the family and the show, except Jon and Kate are no longer sitting together for the interview segments. It's actually kind of nice because Jon actually gets to talk! LOL But, yeah, was he tired? Depressed? Hungover? I couldn't tell. We will have to wait and see."
The several minute long trailer features the couple celebrating their sextuplets 5th birthday at a park with a big jumpy castle. "I like to do them big," Kate says of her kids' birthdays.
"I can't believe they are five," she continues. "It gives me a heart attack thinking about it. It's not just a birthday, it's a celebration of we made it five years."
Jon, however, is a little less exuberant, and more philosophical, to play it very safe ...
"The world is not about ratings and television, it's about happiness, love, companionship, family and God. We all get caught up in everything. Too much of anything is bad," says Jon, sitting on the couch with his feet up, looking sullen and bleary eyed.
"Kate and I obviously are going through a lot of stuff, and deciding what's best for our kids," he continues. "It's what we said in the beginning -- it's a crazy life, but it's our life. That's so true."
Jon and Kate Plus 8 Season 5 premieres this Monday at 9 p.m. on TLC.
