What To Do This Weekend

Need some ideas for weekend fun? Look no further! I've got great reads, movies, and more to make it rock...or just help you kick back and relax!

Friday night DVD: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Whether you like them with a little salt and pepper (Harrison Ford) or fresh-faced (Shia LaBeouf) this movie has it...and great action, too!

Popcorn pleaser: W. Josh Brolin as our President? Yowsa!

Saturday TV: Not only will Josh Brolin host Saturday Night Live, but the rumor is that Sarah Palin is making an appearance. Set the TiVo if it's past your bedtime!

Go YouTubing: You know that Toyota commercial where they sing "saved by zero"? It's from an '80s hit by The Fixx. I can't get the song out of my head!

Music to my ears: Ray LaMontagne's Gossip in the Grain. Soft, haunting, beautiful songs from a man with a raspy tone and a heart full of feelings.

Page-turner: The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz. I'm a huge fan of Diaz' first book, Drown, and this new one about a cursed family sounds like another winner.

Late night/adults only: Check out Showtime's Californicaton to see David Duchovny as Hank Moody sex it up all over the place. You know he's single now?!

Got another suggestion? Do tell!
