So I sat down with the queens of mean last week. You heard me. These ladies rule the web with their snark-filled blog, Go Fug Yourself, The queens, a.k.a. Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan, were deliciously evil, as always:
EB: What is the worst celeb outfit you have featured? Is there a WORST?
JESSICA: I don't think I could pick just one! It's like trying to choose which of your babies you love the most. I do think that certain celebrities can be relied upon to be crazy-looking, often in a kind of delightful way, though. Victoria Beckham, for example, often looks lovely, but she also has a tendency to show up places wearing high fashion hot pants or latex boots without heels. That's fun.
HEATHER: I have an incredibly short memory for this stuff, too. But I will always, ALWAYS have a soft spot in my heart for that pastel, ruffly, bell-bottomed pants-and-shirt outfit J.Lo wore on-stage during her pregnancy. I crack up every time I see that photo.
EB: Why do you think celebs wear such horrible clothes?
JESSICA: I think part of it is that celebrities get so many free items sent to them, that statistically eventually they're going to pick something that's awful and decide to give it a whirl. I also suspect that for some of them, it's about getting attention.
HEATHER: These days, merely being on the red carpet doesn't seem like it's enough, it's all about getting your photo in Us Weekly, or being treated like a style maven. I think that's what leads to some of these really outlandish choices. People want to be noticed, but more than that, they want to be copied. So they will take more absurd chances.
The rest of the interview will be posted on Thursday. I think these ladies would be fun at a party, how about you?
