For those of you who lived under a rock in the 80's or are too young to remember: The Smurfs ruled the 1980's cartoon world! Dig, if you will, a walk back in time with me!
The Smurfs are a group of over 100 bluish, three-apple tall creatures who live in the mushroom homes of Smurf Village. The boss of the blue people is 543-year-old Papa Smurf (who doesn't look a day over 530).
Their lives would be perfect were it not for the villainous Gargamel, a wizard who spends his days trying to capture them to eat, turn into gold, or for other evil reason. Gargamel's cat Azrael adds to the menace, always looking for a smurfalicious snack.
A smurfalicious snack! The cartoon even started it's own language! It's quite sad how excited I am for this DVD release. Just one more thing to prove to my kids I am a weird mother.
Did you love the little blue people? Confess! I know you did!
