2009 Oscars: Best Moments?

Besides watching Hugh Jackman, what was your favorite moment from the 2009 Oscar telecast? Here are a few of my picks:

Hugh Jackman is a talented singer and dancer as well as being a hunk of chunk of man. He picked up Anne Hathaway out of her seat in the audience during the opening number and carried her to the stage and then she joined in, it was fun to watch!

Penelope Cruz's wonderful acceptance speech for her award was classy and moved me. It was very genuine and she talked about how she watched the Oscars when she was a little girl in another country. I was so happy she won for Best Supporting Actress.

Another huge moment for me in this year's show was Kate Winslet winning her Oscar for Best Actress! She is one of my favorites and she's so adorable and smart.

It was so hard to pick my favorite Oscar moment this year, because I had so many! But I have to say that I really enjoyed this year's show....and it wasn't just because of Wolverine! Spill it ladies! What's your favorite moment from the 2009 Oscars?

I liked when they did the music from Wall-e and Slumdog. I also liked how they did where the five actors came out and each talked about one person. It seemed more personal :).

I like the short film that Judd Aptow did. The beginning was really funny too.

LadyKiki, I loved that too! I thought it was way better than some of the canned presentations in the past. And ameliasmama1026 Judd Aptow's video was ROFL!

I loved it when Heath Ledger won the award for Best Supporting Actor! That's the main reason I watched and his family did a great job accepting the award for his daughter.

I thought Hugh Jackman was great ! I love Penelope Cruz so i was really happy when she won, her speech was very sweet and I thought she looked perfect. I was also happy when Kate Winslet won (she's deserved it for years) and when her dad whistled, cute. I was moved that everyone clapped so loudly when they mentioned Paul Newman.

I loved the presentations to the actors. When each actor is spoken to by a former winner. How great would that be to have someone speak about you and your work in a personal way. It really was an honor to be nominated, as they say.
