I used to be a fan! I loved him when he was younger and in movies like The Outsiders, Risky Business and Top Gun, A Few Good Men, Rainman... But I think he lost me some where around his divorce from Nicole. And I definitely couldn't stand how he acted over his new wife Katie.
I loved him in TopGun but he is just plain WEIRD to me now. Hot looking sure-but weird!!
I wonder if he includes his first two kids in that count......Yuck!
He lost me at Nicole Kidman too. Somewhere I read, heard, or saw that she had a miscarriage after they separated. I also think that Katie is so unhappy and he is so controlling. He is off my list.
He is such an odd bird. Just strange.
The man may want 10 kids but what he needs is some electroshock therapy.
I think in living in a secluded, bubble-like lifestyle that he has been for so long he lost sight or reality for a while, which is very common. Look at all the celebrities that do this crap? They say Mariah Carey has to be carried to bed when she's in hotels b/c she doesn't want her feet to touch the carpet of the bedroom...that J.Lo only whats white EVERYTHING in her tourbuses, Michael Jackson, Birtney Spears, Lindsay Lohan..etc. Their bubble has caused a lot of problems...
I think all the bad publicity, the kick from contracts, the scathing letters and reponses from other actors that were once his friends, etc. have made him take a step back and go...'uh oh...maybe I reacted too strongly'. He did another interview where he apologized to I think it was Denise Richard, he explaind to Oprah that his incident on her show was a little brash and has made a statement that he will not talk about Scientology in public ever again. If someone asks; he'll direct them to the website. So I think he's learned, and I think he'll pull his crap together. I hope Katie and he are happy and so is Suri and any other children they have together! :)

Thats EXACTLY how I like to put it as well when talking about celebraties. Michael jackson is another HUGE example, he has a very distorted view on life and right and wrong because of his upbringing and "bubble" its sad really how they create these people and cater to them only to leave them high and dry later. Wasnt it Mariah Carey who also suffered a breakdown much like Brittany's?
Back to this post, I was never a huge fan of Tom Cruise and actually dont like Top Gun at all BUT I do enjoy him now like all the Mission Impossible movies, War of the Worlds....even Rainman is a fave of mine. More power to him for wanting 10 kids....wonder what Katie has to say about that LOL

Eh, I never cared for him anyway..I think Minority Report is really his only movie that I even somewhat enjoyed. I'm convinced that he's a nutjob...eccentric doesn't even begin to cover it. 10 kids is fine with me normally..if people can love and support them, more power to them. But I really don't think that whack job needs any more children..and what does Katie say about it? If my hubby told me he wanted 10 kids, I'd tell him he's going to have to find somebody else to have them with then!
