'Walking Dead' Season 5 Episode 2 Spoilers Put Father Gabriel in Danger

Walking Dead season 5 spoilers

Show of hands: who's ready to completely spoil their viewing experience for season 5 of The Walking Dead? Because that's what I've got for you today, folks. If you don't want to read some very specific information that may or may not be true about episode 2, which is set to air on October 19, then click away now.

Otherwise, stay tuned for a Spoil the Dead set report that spills the details about what actor Andrew Lincoln recently referred to as a "very special surprise" storyline that will begin at the end of the premiere episode.

Back in July, Lincoln said this about the premiere episode:

The first episode this season, I think because we start at a cliffhanger, I think it's the most complete first returning episode I've ever read. It's got more action than the prison, the taking of the prison [in Season 3]. I think it tracks the story, the characters so well. And also there's a very special surprise at the end.

That led plenty of people to theorize that he was talking about a reunion with Carol, Tyreese, and baby Judith, which supports the info Spoil the Dead has been posting. Reportedly, episode 2 will begin with walkers surrounding “a young African American man wearing the white collar and black shirt of a priest,” which obviously sounds like Father Gabriel. Gabriel kicks at the zombies and yells for help, at which point,

From out of the forest tears what at first looks like a platoon of infantrymen. But as the brush clears, their faces grow familiar- Rick Grimes, his son Carl, Daryl Dixon, Maggie Greene, Glenn Rhee, Michonne, Carol Peletier. In a heartbeat, they envelop the walkers, Rick grabs one, slams its head against the boulder, and throws it to the ground. Carol drives her knife through the skull of another. Michonne hits hers twice in the back of its head with the butt of a rifle, then a third time after it drops. The threat eliminated, Glenn shouts ‘are we good?’. After scanning for more walkers Rick replies ‘Yeah’. He looks up at the terrified man and offers him his hand.

There's no way to prove this is accurate information, but it sure sounds believable to me. It seems like Carol will show up at the end of the premiere (perhaps disguised as a walker?), Rick & Co will escape their captors, and we'll move into the Father Gabriel stuff in the second episode. Maybe they'll even storm the facility where Beth is being held, after kicking some Termite ass?

However it all shakes out, I'm really looking forward to these first episodes. They've been doing a great job of hyping the action to come, and it sounds like it's going to be a while before our survivors get a breather. (No pudding break for YOU, Carl!)

Do these spoilers sound realistic to you? How do you think Carol will be involved with the Terminus escape?
