The Crafty Way the Duggars Manipulate Their Daughters' Relationships (VIDEO)

What do 19 Kids and Counting & Married at First Sight have in common? Besides no sex before marriage, that is?!? In today's exclusive episode below, I examine episode 9 of the FYI Network's relationship show as well as the season 9 premiere of TLC's 19 Kids. Between Jill Duggar's wedding plans and real-life baby news and the MAFS couples days before their decision to stay married or get divorced, there's LOTS to discuss.

Monet Bell and Vaughn Copeland surprised me this week -- you too? The radical, 180-degree turnaround, coupled with commentary from Dr. Cilona, made me wonder whether the editors have been playing tricks with us all season. Cortney Hendrix comes to a not-surprising-at-all conclusion about her relationship with Jason Carrion, and Doug Hehner's wife Jamie Otis needs to be locked in a closet with Idina Menzel. Or Adele Dazeem. Take your pick.

All of the couples make a last effort to find as much romance as possible before making their final decision to stay together or split up, which airs next week, and I break down what we're seeing and NOT seeing from each. Happily, there will be a reunion special airing September 16, so we'll get a chance to see how well they have settled into their choices.

Also this week, season 9 of 19 Kids and Counting premiered and it looks to be an action-packed season. In today's video below I explain how the choices Jim Bob Duggar is making for his family can help both the family and the show, from planning daughter Jill's wedding to shepherding daughter Jessa Duggar's courtship progress with Ben Seewald. Well, she looks like she's 3-4 months pregnant, not 8 weeks, so I guess that, while they may not have been kissing, something else was going on.

Some people start showing early I did with all 3 of mine I looked 6 months before I even peed on the stick, so you can't judge them by the size of her belly.

No. I think this no kissing rule is really stupid anyway. Did they not kiss before they got married. Oh I forgot they screwed like rabbitts when they married because they were so deprived of touching before they got married. They obviously dont trust their kids since they have to have chaperones. The Duggars may have money but Im sure if they didnt have the show paying them then they wouldnt be as debt free as they are today.

Ugh!  I wish you would learn to pronounce people's name properly!  A person's name should be pronounced the way THEIR family pronounces it, not the way YOU think it should be pronounced!  The Giudice  family pronounces their name phonetically jood ICE.  Not jood EECHAY.  No one can take you seriously, Alex, if you don't do research on what you're reporting and convey it properly.

Joe and Teresa can't even figure out how to pronounce their last name! They keep flip flopping back and forth, RELAX!

Alex McCord

Addressing Notb4MyLatte's comment: I know Teresa personally, and asked her several years ago whether she would prefer me to call her Joo-Dice or Joo-dee-chay. She opted for number 2 because it's the traditional Italian pronunciation. They use both. Salute!

oh snap.  alex for the win.

Nothing4mylattte. Sorry. You're wrong on this one buddy. I believe i remember it being pronounced joo dice early on but it was corrected later on and alex is pronouncing it correctly. Do your research before you pounce.

If each of the Duggars have 19 kids, there would be a total of 382 people in their family within the next 30 years.

Please do not give any more press to the Duggar breeders. I usually like your take on things, Alex, but skipped this time. Just refuse to listen to ANYTHING about them.
