Jesse Kovacs' Apology to Christy Hansen Is Anything but Sincere

Eye Roll 2

Jesse Kovacs Christy Hansen

Well, well, well -- it looks like somebody is making a desperate attempt to salvage what's left of his reputation. After hooking up with her one minute and calling her a "dumb blond" in the next, Bachelor in Paradise star Jesse Kovacs issued an apology to Christy Hansen, though exactly no one will blame her if she refuses to accept it.

He wrote the totally insincere statement in a new blog for OK! Magazine. While we have to give him props for speaking up, it's impossible to think he had any other motive than saving his own ass with his words.

Get a load of what he had to say and judge for yourself as to whether or not Jesse's apology is truly heartfelt.

I'll start by saying, I'm in no shape to try and defend myself. Last night's episode of Bachelor in Paradise was brutal. I come off looking pretty bad and I only have myself to blame. I want to apologize to Christy. She didn't deserve to be called a dumb blond and she should be upset with how she was treated. I made mindless statements about her and I feel like an asshole.

Most people I've met who have received a bad edit on these shows always try to blame the producers and back-peddle on statements they made. The reality is we all signed up for this and to be mad at how I was portrayed would be silly. Did things get cut and pasted in the editing room? Of course, but all the things that were said, regardless of context, were said.

Yep. My thoughts exactly. Now that pretty much all of America (not to mention Bachelor Nation) thinks he's a real d-bag, Jesse had no choice but to try and redeem himself by admitting he made a huge fool out of himself.

And if you're thinking for one split second that he might have a shred of decency left in him, then I should probably mention that right after his "apology," he went on to whine about how much some of the harsh comments he received on social media hurt him.

Ahh. Now it makes sense. I guess his little rant upon his exit from Mexico about how he was going to be invited to all sorts of parties and festivals after being on the show didn't quite pan out the way he'd hoped, so now he's getting a taste of his own medicine.

Ugh. I want to like Jesse ... I really do. (Because he makes wine and he's easy on the eyes. I'm shallow like that.)

But given that Christy was nothing but sweet, genuine, and honest with him, I just can't get past how horribly he treated her -- for no good reason!

Sorry, Jesse, but it's gonna take a hell of a lot more than a blog in a tabloid magazine to get fans to fall in love with you all over again.

Hey, there's always Bachelor in Paradise season 2 if it ever happens, right?

Do you think Jesse's apology is sincere?

Really? I actually think everything he's said is pretty much bang on. He's admitted to everything and is apologizing. It's the right thing to do. Anyone who goes on a show like that and expects to not be treated like a piece of meat is a fool, right or wrong. Christy should have known what was up the minute she found out he was messing around with Lucy too. But oh no, she had to look past the red flags and see only what she wanted to. She pursued him knowing full well he was fooling around with her friend too. Then she wants to get angry that he has no respect for her? Suddenly he's a jerk for taking what was thrown at him? Give your heads a shake!

I believe she added to the problem,.  Looks like she was just after any man.  And he says his comments were edited.  And we al know the producers do a lot of that - just to get you to turn in to the program.  Big of him to even try to apologize.
