Unless you've been living under a rock these days, I'm sure you've seen the numerous reports saying Chris Soules is the next Bachelor, even though ABC hasn't come out and announced anything yet.
And while Chris is a great man who is easy on the eyes and definitely seems like he wants to find a wife, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little (ok a lot) disappointed that Arie Luyendyk, Jr. didn't get the job.
OMG. No offense to ABC, but how in the hell could they be so dumb as to pass up casting Arie as The Bachelor? His season would've been AMAZING, and he would've breathed new life into the show that's been missing for quite some time.
Um, have you seen this dude's insane kissing skills? (Nuff said.)
And considering he was campaigning for the gig, we have to wonder how he feels about being given the shaft. Well? We're in luck. Arie finally opened up after The Bachelor news leaked, and what he had to say might surprise you a little.
@behavior80 good man, life is great— Arie Luyendyk Jr. (@ariejr) August 15, 2014
Life is great? Really?!?
Um, he totally could've gone into some big rant about how bummed he is that he won't have the opportunity to find love on TV, but instead, Arie proved to be a class act once again.
More from The Stir: Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Is Closer to Becoming the Next 'Bachelor' Than We Thought
And if anything, his calm demeanor only further proves what a buzz kill it is that Arie didn't get the job. Who wouldn't want to marry this dude? I mean, he definitely doesn't need to go on TV to find a woman, but you know potential cast members would have been chomping at the bit for the chance to land him.
Sigh. I guess there's always next season? Maybe Chris being The Bachelor will actually prove to be a good thing in the sense that ABC will realize they have to get a little more sensible in casting a leading man. There's no way they'll pass up Arie twice, is there?!?
Do you think Arie should be The Bachelor?
