Robin Williams' family and fans were in a state of shock last night when they discovered that the 63-year-old veteran actor apparently committed suicide. As more reports come out about his hard-fought battle with depression, the tributes have also come pouring in. Everyone from his daughter to the actor who played Rufio with Williams in Hook have obviously been affected by his too-soon passing.
It's been quite difficult to wrap our minds around the real, devastating effects of mental illness. Williams, though he battled with his addictions, seemed to have it all -- fame, talent, a loving family, movie roles in the works. Little do we know what goes on behind the scenes.
With the age of social media, honoring Williams' memory is easier than ever. Check out just 20 from the millions of tributes coming in to bid farewell to such a talented man.

20. Nathan Lane, Williams' Birdcage costar:
I feel I have to say something more than just 'heartbreaking and shocking' which everyone has said and I feel as well, but something a little more personal. Thus the following: One day in 1995 while riffing in the character of a snobby French toy store owner, Robin made me laugh so hard and so long that I cried. It seemed to please him no end. Yesterday I cried again at the thought that he was gone.
What I will always remember about Robin, perhaps even more than his comic genius, extraordinary talent, and astounding intellect, was his huge heart -- his tremendous kindness, generosity, and compassion as an acting partner, colleague, and fellow traveler in a difficult world. My heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.
