Whoa, bet Dina Manzo wasn't expecting this! Jacqueline Laurita is returning to RHONJ! I know! Crazy! Apparently, shooting for the current season has wrapped (obviously), but the ladies will be filming some additional scenes, and Jacqueline (who you may or may not remember got into a Twitter tiff with Dina Manzo after this season's premiere aired) will be a part of them.
As all Real Housewives fans know, the reason Dina is currently not speaking to certain family members -- namely, her sister, Caroline Manzo, and her sister-in-law, Jacqueline -- is because of some sort of drama that stemmed out of RHONJ. (The reason for the feud has never totally been made clear; different reports say different things.) But one thing is for sure: Dina will have zero interest in shooting any scenes with her estranged sis-in-law. It was only a few months ago that she said, "I’m going to be honest and say I will never do a reality show with family ever again. It’s just not a healthy environment. It’s not something I recommend to family."
Sooooo ... this is awkward.
I'm not gonna lie, when I first heard that Jacqueline would be back while Dina is still shooting, I got a little excited. After all, makes for fantastic drama. But, from a human being standpoint, isn't this a really, really bad idea? Won't Jacqueline's appearance on the show make things all the more worse (if that's even possible?)? Sounds like the reason Dina agreed to the show was because Jacqueline and Caroline were out. Why go here now when things are already a mess between them?
I'm guessing the two ladies won't be in any scenes together, as Dina seems extremely adamant about not doing so. And you know what? Even though it would likely be riveting to watch, that's probably for the best. I mean, sheesh, how much more drama does this family need?
What do you think of Jacqueline returning to the show?
