Well, well, well -- surprise, surprise. As if we didn't see this one coming a mile away, Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray's TV wedding has been confirmed, by the happy couple, of course.
Yep. They've only been out in the open as an engaged duo for a week, and already the wedding plans are underway. ABC will likely foot the bill for the whole thing.
Gah. Finding "true love" in a matter of weeks on national television definitely comes with its fair share of perks.
In a new interview with People, Andi basically said "as long as she gets to marry Josh," she has no problem saying her vows in front of the cameras.
Oh, and Josh wants ABC to film the wedding reception, which he anticipates being "a lot of fun."
(You know, because regular wedding receptions are usually a real drag. ???)
And while Josh and Andi aren't the first Bachelor/Bachelorette couple to have a televised wedding, it still seems odd that they're jumping the gun so fast as far as getting hitched goes.
I mean, shouldn't they take a while to get to know each other and live together and all that jazz before getting the ball rolling on their TV nuptials?
More from The Stir: Andi Dorfman & Josh Murray Might Not Be As Happy As They're Letting On
Sure, they seem hopelessly in love right now, but they're definitely still in the honeymoon period, what with all of the media attention they're getting these days. It would be very easy to get caught up in the hoopla and romance of it all and say, "Hell YEAH we're getting married on TV!" This move really makes it look like the two of them are more interested in fame than each other.
It will be interesting to see what happens once the dust settles a little and Andi and Josh settle into more of a normal life. But if by some slim chance they're still going strong next spring? I promise to totally change my tune and be happy for them for being able to have a dream wedding courtesy of ABC.
Are you surprised that Andi and Josh want to wed on TV?
