You don't hear celebrities outright trashing each other too much. I mean A-listers, not the reality TV kind. There are good reasons for that. Hollywood is a town that runs on connections and "friendships." You never know where your next job is coming from -- and it's not a good idea to piss off anyone, no matter how much they might deserve it. So it's jaw-droppingly surprising to hear how Freddie Prinze Jr. clobbered his former 24 costar Kiefer Sutherland.
Prinze, who is still married to Sarah Michelle Gellar (amazing!), had this to say about Keifer:
I did '24,' it was terrible. I hated every moment of it. Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash, I'd say it to his face, I think everyone that's worked with him has said that.
The ABC News reporter who got this quote must have wondered if he was being pranked.
Prinze even blamed Kiefer for why he quit acting for awhile -- and went to work at the WWE.
So what did Kiefer do that was so awful? For one, Freddie claims that Kiefer made him take off his shoes before filming a scene because Freddie, at six feet tall, towered over the star of the show.
Kiefer responded to Freddie's comments by saying, "You may be taller than me, but I'm a bigger star than you! Nyah, nyah, nyah!" Well, maybe he said that in a private email. What he publicly said (through his rep) was:
Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best.
Well, at least he kept it classy. Here anyway. Sounds like not so much on the show.
It's pretty ballsy of Freddie to call out Kiefer this way. I mean, if there's ever a 24 movie, you can probably guess who won't be in it! Not that he'd want to be.
Here's Freddie tossing Kiefer some serious shade. He must have really needed to get this off his chest!
