'Sister Wives' Tell-All Recap: Christine Brown Is in Such Pain!

Sister WivesSister Wives may be over for the season, but that doesn't mean the drama between the wives is finished! We saw that was true in tonight's special "tell-all" episode. What started off seeming like a dull but sweet recap of the just-completed fifth season quickly took a turn when Christine Brown stormed off the stage in the middle of an interview. We'd expect this from the Housewives, but the Sister Wives? Never.

I'm making it sound like Christine was moments away from flipping a table, which isn't remotely true -- but she was clearly upset. Though her polite request to leave was never brought up again while the cameras rolled, it was suggested via voice-over that Robyn Brown's current plans for pregnancy might be upsetting Christine. Robyn apparently insisted that no questions about more children for the family be asked for the remainder of the evening.

Christine, however, was quick to shut down talk that Robyn's potential pregnancy was a factor in whatever it was that made her walk off. She took to Twitter where she said, "Why did I walk off set? It's not complicated but it's not because of Robyn wanting a baby. Honestly," she said, "it was childish and I shouldn't have done it." She went on to explain that she had to "think about an issue" that she wasn't quite done processing yet. Hm. Okay, that's cool, I respect that.

I like Christine and how honest she is about herself. She admits that she makes mistakes and I think she's got the best sense of humor of all the wives. TLC should have a contest where a sassy blogger from Brooklyn gets a chance to hang out with Christine for a day ... I am suggesting this idea for a friend. Joking and fake contests aside, it's clear that something big is on Christine's mind. Here's hoping that whatever it is, Kody Brown and her fellow sister wives see her through the storm.

Why do you think Christine stormed off?

I really like this show! And I find the wives all very genuine but Robin. She seems far to concerned with her appearance. Always fussing with herself. Either that or she just looks totally bored. I really would like to like her but she just is very different then Meri, Christine and Janelle. They all have such heart warming qualities.

she's always been the one to say she would be hurt if another wife was brought in.

what if that's what's going on? Hmm.

Rhond... Rhonda...

Cannot stand that Robyn woman. She seems to monopolize the conversations. How are her children from her previous marriage fitting into this unusual family??? There's something about her that doesn't ring true.

I think robin is the most normal wife, merri seems to be the unhappy one

I think a big part of Christine's unhappiness comes from the addition of Robyn as a sister wife during her last pregnancy. Since Robyn has been a member of the family a lot of the focus has been on her and making sure she's happy, leaving out Christine, Janelle and Meri. It seems like Kody has used his relationship with Robyn to reclaim his youth, forgetting the other women who've loved and supported him the whole time.

In plural marriage there r multiple moms but only one dad to go around plus be a husband bread winner and father. I think that should be taken into consideration. Robyn's coming into the family brought 4 new members. I feel the addition of a new wife was poor timing since Christine was having Truely. Was it to make the first few Season ?? Also as in the Brady family does a pregnancy give that wife more attention? These shows will eventually end and this family needs to all work hard together plan for those years. I notice how few of the older children at this time want to follow the plural lifestyle hmmmmmm

I think Robyn still struggles with acceptance. She has faced resentment from the beginning; remember when Kody kissed her goodbye when Christine was giving birth to Truely? Christine felt displaced; Kody was clearly smitten with Robyn.

I think fans dislike Robyn because she represents their greatest fear--that a younger, pretty woman might come between them and their husband/SO.

I think more lies beneath the surface of Christine's resentment. Robyn and Kody have had secrets--and they smile conspiratorially about them. They even waited to tell the others about Robyn's pregnancy?

The ONLY time Kody has showed genuine emotion involves Robyn. Remember when he described the complications during Robyn's pregnancy with Solomon? That is the only time I have seen him cry.

I think Kody survived because he was emotionally DE-tached from Meri, Christine and Jenelle; his major challenges were scheduling and managing squabbles.

But Robyn hit him in a different spot and pierced his armor.

I like Kody--he's honest, tries hard to be sincere, cute (love the hair, Kody--ignore the criticism!), athletic and young at heart. I think the change in him happened the moment he and Robyn were on their honeymoon and crouched like two teenagers on surfboards during the lesson. Kody realized then that he had found a mate who is like him, and part of him softened for the first time.

Love the show!
