Sunday's episode of RHONJ dove right into the drama. Actually, scratch that: It artfully eased into it, which was delightful to watch none the same. The theme throughout the show? Amber Marchese is a trouble-maker and she's going to cause big problems this season.
Toward the beginning of the ep, Melissa Gorga and Marchese (friends from way back when) got together for drinks. And while they were "enjoying each other's company," Marchese managed to get weird digs in at Melissa, none of which were lost on Gorga. At one point, the women got to talking about their careers (Amber dabbles in acting, FYI), and Amber asked Melissa a question along the lines of: "If you were diagnosed with cancer, what would you choose -- your family or your singing career?" The hyperbolic question was apparently Amber's attempt at explaining why she's a stay-at-home mom right now as opposed to a famed thespian, but I don't think I was the only person thinking: What the hell kind of thing is that to ask?
The Amber-fueled drama continued when Melissa let twins Nicole Napolitano and Teresa Aprea know that Amber called Nicole a homewrecker. When Amber was telling Melissa about Nicole's divorce, she said that she believed that Nicole was the one responsible for "breaking up a home" -- and naturally, Melissa immediately went back and told the twins. As you may suspect from the previous episodes we've seen them in, the gossip did not sit well with them. So much so that they felt the need to leave the clothing store they were shopping in (with the clothes they were trying on still on) to go to Amber's house to confront her.
Thankfully, the girls regained a bit of composure when they pulled up to the Marchese house and realized that, duh, it would be a little psychotic to barge into a home with kids, hootin' and shootin' like a couple of crazies. But they did concoct a plan to approach Amber at an upcoming party in front of everyone to see what she has to say for herself. From the previews, it looks like the confrontation is going to be a hilarious, ridiculous bloodbath.
From the looks of things, Amber is going to really shake things up this season -- and not in a good way. Well, not in a good way for her. For us, it'll be awesome. Get out the popcorn, peeps.
