Covert Affairs star Piper Perabo covertly got married over the weekend! See what I did there? Sorry, it couldn't be helped. Anyway, the 37-year-old actress wed her longtime love Stephen Kay on Saturday, July 26, her reps confirm.
The couple tied the knot in New York City, and celebrated with a nearby reception that included a New Orleans-style band, according to one source who snitched to Us Weekly.
This duo has stayed mostly mum on their relationship as a whole, so it's no surprise that they remained hush-hush on the details of their wedding. Their engagement was announced last September, and a source revealed that the bride-to-be was "very happy" with her betrothed.
Kay is the executive producer and director of Perabo's hit USA show, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2011. She's played CIA agent Annie Walker since the show's inception in 2010.
Previously, Piper got her breakout role in 2000's Coyote Ugly, playing Violet "Jersey" Sanford, a wannabe songwriter who winds up working at a women-run bar in New York City, coming into her own while learning the fine arts of pretending to shoot whiskey and dancing on the bar in a short skirt.
Although Perabo and Kay have been tight-lipped about their romance, she did open up a little bit in an interview earlier this year. When asked about the five people, living or dead, she'd like to have dinner with, Piper included her fiance, along with Phyllis Diller, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jon Stewart, and Michael Symon.
Awww! Congrats to the happy couple. May they have many years of happiness and relative privacy.
If you were a celebrity, would you keep the details of your love life under wraps?
