Kourtney Kardashian's Surprising Pregnancy Confession Will Anger Fans

Kourtney KardashianThe Kardashian sisters recently helped celebrate Babies "R" Us' partnership with Operation Shower, and had some surprising confessions and advice for pregnant moms. For instance, Kim Kardashian thinks the best way to handle maternity is to just stay home for a year.

But it was her big sister Kourtney Kardashian who had the most surprising confession -- apparently she doesn't wear maternity clothes. The reality star, who is expecting her third with long-time boyfriend Scott Disick, said she just buys a bigger size than she normally does.

I'm not really into maternity clothes," she said. Referring to her outfit that day, she admitted, "This is the Kardashian Kollection, and it's just a size bigger than I would normally get."

A size bigger? As in one size bigger? No wonder this girl gets pregnant so often -- can you imagine being able to fit into non-maternity clothes while physically showing? Dang. Most women would probably have to buy six sizes up.

Meanwhile, Kim said she would rather hide than wear maternity clothes. I can't say I blame her, after that flowered disaster of a dress at the 2013 Met Gala. Anyway, North's mom said, "I recommend hiding for a good year and having no pregnancy style ... that's what I recommend. If you can do it, hide. Never leave the house."

When Khloe said that advice wasn't very practical, Kim protested, "That's really my recommendation ... wear a huge blanket."

They may be sisters, but their maternity styles are obviously at opposite ends of the spectrum.

Would you consider wearing regular clothes in bigger sizes instead of maternity clothes?

I most definetly wore larger size regular clothing, maternity clothes suck. I'm not into stripes, hideous florals/pastels or those stupid waist belts/ribbons.

If you get angry over another person's body you need to reconsider your life. She's a very small person and takes care of herself while pregnant. She doesn't put on s whole lot of weight. A lot of women I know are the same way. They went up 2 or 3 sizes, but still mostly wore regular clothes.

It really depends on personal preference. I had three kids, and bought maternity clothes with all. I am not a thin woman, so buying bigger wasn't an option for me. The maternity clothes were more comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised at how stylish they were, especially at "motherhood" maternity stores. Its really a matter of what you feel comfortable with.

Why would not liking maternity clothes anger fans? On many other websites kourtenay is hailed for her pregnancy style (e.g. See pregnantfashionista.com), but it doesn't mean she needs to wear maternity clothes. She looks great because she makes good clothing choices that suit her growing body. Kim on the other hand did not make good choices and may have benefited from flattering maternity clothing, such as that by Isabella Oliver.

I have had three children and never wore maternity clothes. I did the same thing - bought larger sizes. And I'm going back 27 years ago. Obviously they haven't gotten any better in style.
